Impressive looking bottle to showcase this 2006 creation from Nathalie Lorson who by the way had also composed Lalique's Encre Noire in that same year. But looks aside, TRUSSARDI INSIDE does away with the archetypical 3-level pyramid and dives right inside the heart of the scent from the get-go, unleashing a mild, woodsy aroma punctuated with pepper and coffee accords. As it dries down, the pepper fades into the background to reveal subtle hints of tobacco on top of the woods. It's funny how I suddenly found myself thinking of expensive furniture in wood panelled stores. Perhaps that's what this skin scent reminds me of - a quiet elegance and a certain self assuredness you tend to find among men of worldly experience; men who simply don't give a damn about whether or not you can smell this scent on him.

I've had this for about three months and have never reviewed it... Threw it on tonight due to lack of samples... I have to say that this one has grown on me... Forget the pyramid, no really forget it because as MMM says the actual scent is WAY different from what you would think given the four words displayed at the top. Lemon topnote??? not at all... there is no citrus to be found anywhere this is actually an extremely dry scent. If there is coffee it is an origin I haven't found yet, and the tobacco is much more a "smoked" note. This is not the bruised, fresh cut Virginia leaves found in alot "tobacco" scents, it is more the resinous char found at the bottom of a pipe used only for simple yet quality straight pipeweed. The real beauty in this is the melange of woods that make up the base yet are so prevalent even from the initial spray. I have smelled teak in various incarnations from marine vessels to furniture, and I can say that this definately does have that teak vibe, but the wood in TIM is more of a cedar driftwood laying by the shore that has had all moisture cooked out. There is a deserted beach saltiness that permeates this fragrance from the second it touches the skin until it passes quietly a few hours later. This is a dark, rainy day kind of juice, as the moisture in the air compliments the dust and bones qualities and makes for quite an interesting contrast. I'm not convinced this is a winner, but it is one that I will keep around for awhile longer for the "perfect" day.

This one is very classy and elegant. Lemon, teak, coffee and tobacco gives it a wonderful aroma. It`s a scent for people over 25+ wich have a sense of style and elegance. With a white shirt, nice suit-jacket, and leather shoes this fragrance will be a winner! It`s a sensual and luxurious Italian fragrance, wich surrounds you with a "hi-class" and "good taste" aroma! Wearable for both winter and summer, as long as the temperature isn`t to high. Highly recommended!

What I get form this is a sweeter version of Burberry Touch (pheromonic talcum powder). Where Touch comes across as pheromonic, this lacks that quality and replaces it with sweets, but just the right amount. I haven't sampled Moschino Uomo? so I can't compare the two yet, and Antaeus? Not so sure about that, at least not to my nose. I think overall it is a nice manly frag that is not so in your face...comes across as a gentle caring man with an Italian flair...like a bearded uncle or something, with not a worry in the world :)

I must strongly disagree with MMM. On me this cologne had a wonderful smell. Especially in the drydown. A weaker version of Antaeus if you ask me. The topnotes might not be that impressive. But as I said on my skin the drydown definetely made up for that little error. Scents with tobacco and coffe has always suited my chemistry. So its no wonder this one suits me. I might buy a bottle of it later this year. Right now I feel the weather is to hot for it. This one is almost as good as Trussardi Uomo who so far has been one of my favourites. Thumbs up from me.
