Reviews of Index Pink Jasmine ![]() bookwyrmsmith United StatesShow all reviews | I agree with previous reviewers in that this is a Lily-of-the-valley and Jasmine scent. Cloying -that is up to the person smelling IMO .But then I love other "cloying "powerhouse numbers (Opium;24 ,Faubourg;Samsara...). 29th August, 2011. |
| JeanieE United StatesShow all reviews | Agree about the cloying, sticky, lily of the valley: actually reminds my of my 4-year-old's Princess Aurora perfume. Sampled it (Pink Jaasmine, not Princess Aurora) before going out to dinner and spent 5 minutes in the bathroom at Eddie Merlot's trying to scrub it off. Kinda putrid, really. I don't think I get peony from it, because I like l'occitane's Peaonia. Is that supposed to be something different from peony, tho?) 6th June, 2010. |
| CoL United KingdomShow all reviews | If you know me, you'll know I can generally find something positive to say about just about all scents, except this one! NOW I understand what people mean when they say they litterally had to run and scrub it off. I used a dish scrubber and washing up liquid as this honestly makes me wretch! I can quite describe how it smells to me except to say a bit like half cooked sausages dipped in cheap air freshner. HORRIFIC! 23rd February, 2010. |
![]() FullCircle United StatesShow all reviews | I've owned Pink Jasmine for a while...haven't used it lately though. I gave it an air-spritz today to remind me, and I still adore it! I'm not young (understatement), and this is a young fragrance...sweet, happy, innocent, and did I say sweet? But I like it anyhow. There is no heavy base in this fragrance at all, and I like that...a great summer, at-the-beach kind of scent. I pick up tons of jasmine, even though it has many companion notes, and the jasmine stays present for me throughout. I figure if I'm going to have a sweet girl-scent in my wardrobe, it should be jasmine. The Fresh version takes me back to my youth with absolutely no sophistication...I need that occasionally. I feel light, gay, and playful...I'm glad I own it! 3rd November, 2007. |
| ubuandibeme United StatesShow all reviews | Yet another fragrance by this house, whose name is not particularly descriptive of it's actual smell! I do detect jasmine in this juice, but it's surrounded by notes that force your nose to take the long road home to the actual jasmine! Peach skin and peony tag team for the acidic/cloying, stick in the back of your throat feeling you must endure before even a subtle glimpse of jasmine is revealed. Even then, there is a lily of the valley-ish note guarding the gates to the elusive jasmine. Finally, if you aren't worn down thus far, you will get to the jasmine. The disappontment is: it's not THAT great once you get there...I'll take Lutens A La Nuit over this anyday! 14th October, 2007. |
