I agree with Off-Scenter that an aquatic Angel might be inspired lunacy. There is something very likeably off the wall about this, but the proof is in the wearing, and the aquatic thing wears on my nerves after a while. It really does smell like Angel Sport Scent for a guy. I haven't yet decided whether or not I can actually wear this. It was a blind purchase. I love the star embedded in the bottle. It looks like a jelly-starfish. I could just look at that and be happy with my purchase. :-)

Vanilla + aquatic is an odd mix. The vanilla burns off a bit and one is faced with a rubbery watery pongy scent. I don't find this attractive. But wait, what am I thinking? Of course, everyone wants to smell like a soggy sugar cookie left in a sports locker with old sneakers and damp bathing suits. Yum.

This one should have been A*Men. Taken on their own, the mint and melon top notes are a hackneyed male “sport fragrance” gesture, but slapping them on top of the sweet fruity floral and patchouli accord from Angel is an act of inspired lunacy. The result is weird, wacky, and frankly much more pleasant to wear as a man than the obscenely dense chocolate pudding of A*Men. Am I the only one who sees the fun in this?

very nice bottle for this fragrance, I dont like this as much as Rose Angel, but like alot of Thierry Mugler fragrances, is long lasting.

    this is an interesting smell.

Once I got over the overwhelming watermelon in the opening, and that took a looong time, I found this to be an ok younger relative of Angel. I've never seen the pyramid for Eau de Star, but I recognize the feel of it and some notes from Angel.

The watermelon in the top is really obnoxious though, and it takes a very long time to dry down. In fact, I don't think it ever goes away, I suspect my nose just got used to it. On the plus side, the scent mellows to a pleasant level just when I think my nose is about to go numb.
