Fahrenheit 32 starts out as a shot of good old goofy fun: vanilla mint with coconut cream. Ten minutes later it’s deflated into a plain artificial vanilla that's too thin to disguise what seems to have become the standard issue fougere base of loud, cloying powdery synthetic woods and amber. Whoever makes this base must be buried in cash right now, because it’s a major challenge to find a modern mass market masculine that doesn’t use it by the gallon. I’d love to know what it is, on the superstitious principle that being able to name an evil will empower me against it. Meanwhile, this nameless horror turns Fahrenheit 32 into utter crap on me. 11 October 2008

Ouch! Renperd is right: What a horrible spicy/sharp smell is that at the first hour?! It's nauseating... F32 was one of the few fragrances that made me feel ill after sampling. When it dries down, however, It gets better: turns to a powdery vanilla type of scent. 29 July 2008

The comparison to Fleur de Male must be made - both are heavy on vanilla and neroli in combination. But where the Gaultier is a balanced, original and cool release - Fahrenheit 32 just seems redundant and frankly, a bit cheap. On my skin I just can´t get by the feeling of a highly artificial product. Something created in a lab between washing powders and stain removing liquids. As for instance Comme Des Garcons has proved time and again, artificiality doesn´t need to be bad per se. But in Fahrenheit 32 there isn´t enough originality or other redeeming stuff going on to justify it. The vanilla and orange blossom smell awfully synthetic and the whole brew has a strength (nuclear!) and offensiveness that´s just a bit too much too handle. It also shares that sharp "floral aggression" of Geir Ness and Tommy T, giving it a ridiculously clean feeling. The irony is, it´s so strong it comes across more like some kind of industrial strength cleaner for warehouses or something... Nevertheless it is quite different from most of the stuff coming out today which in itself is worth some praise. But at the end of the day a definite thumbs down. Hardly worthy of sharing shelves with Eau Sauvage or even the original Fahrenheit for that matter. 26 December 2007

At first impression it slightly remainds me the original Fahrenheit, but with a new and more freshly tone. I don't dislike it for the first 20-30 minutes. But the drydown is way too sweet, at least for my personal taste. I would like vanilla but not so plain. I prefer "dark" fragrances, so this one is not for me 28 May 2007

Southern Spain is one of the places where you have the opportunity to smell Oranges Trees in blossom -Azahar- every spring, as you walk down the street the scent fills the air; it's an awesome smell that I really love. That's why I get excited every time a new perfume containing Orange Blossom comes out... but then I smell it and unfortunately the excitement ends. I've never found a perfume capable of emulate the wonderful scent of 'Azahar'. This one is not different, which makes me kind of sad for I really like the original Fahrenheit. Besides, I won't say this is a masculine fragance, not at all. The Azahar scent is too feminine for me... there's a hidden dark basenote (maybe vanilla?) that wants to be kind of strong though, but it won't go out... 20 March 2007
