Coffee with citrus and pepper at first. sorry for lack of better adjectives. Iight vanilla note, with the sharp-high citrusy notes common to armani, but with a musky bottom. this did not last longer than two hours on me. won't purchase again for this reason. otherwise, would have loved it. masculine and not too flowery. nice middle to heavy scent.

well this one is a bit confusing really. i fully anticipated disliking it entirely, as code leaves me cold and AdG is.... well, it is what it is. However the bottle of attitude i kept passing (i often take a shortcut through a local department store from one street to another) was wearing down my resistance with it's trendy cubist zippo charms. so finally i took the plunge, and..... well, the neutral rating here i think is perhaps the most appropriate i've given. this fragrance is certainly well-blended, in that there are almost no distinctive notes, rather a well-rounded aura of scent. i do get the lavender, but it's not an old fashioned lavender, rather a candied, softened, out-of-focus lavender. I don't actually smell the coffee note that people are mentioning at all, except that i do seem to experience a strange scent-memory trigger of the bar of a restaurant i know, of being near the coffee machine (i find this VERY weird). there is a powdered quality to attitude also, a warm semi-vanilla softness that makes the fragrance one that could easily be worn by a woman - it's hardly an overtly 'masculine' scent. i ALMOST get, as other people have noticed, the faintest of cardomom notes, but very vaguely. nothing in attitude is very definite, it's all so blended and vague and sweet-cloudy-hazy. there's a slight freshness to this also, a synthetic accord which is technically quite at odds with the rest of the fragrance (without it, and with a bit more oomph, attitude could potentially head towards the sweet-gourmandy end of the scale) but which seems to keep the scent grounded in the middle of fresh and sickly. perhaps it is only to be expected of this end of armani's product range, but attitude is one of the most obviously focus-group created fragrances i have smelled, as though a hundred people were surveyed as to what they want in a fragrance and then this was created to satisfy as many as possible.

it is by no means unpleasant - quite clearly it is meant to be as pleasant as possible to as many people as possible. and it's freshened powdery-warmth makes it appropriate for daytime, the office, casualwear, an evening, even as a clubbing fragrance. it is quite light, and even a heavy application doesnt ever go over-the-top. it's also not even really a linear scent - as foetidus noted, this is basically all topnotes and not really much else. it really is quite uninspiring, doesn't last long, smells quite cheap i think, and whilst doing nothing that badly, does nothing at all well. yet im confounded by my inability to stop smelling it - as though it has the fragrance equivalent of MSG in it, and my brain's being tricked into enjoying an inferior product.

4.5 out of 10. yet i might buy it if i'm over-tired in duty-free.....

At first, I expected a commonplace scent like many designer houses developed just for the sake of profit during the past years, something that doesn't change much about a market segment already owerflown with teeny creations of amss-market appeal ( even in the designer sector ) and a serious deficiency for exclusive, artistic or schock-value creation. So, the fact that Attitude stands out a bit- but not at a spectacular or ground-breaking level - from current genericness came as a surprise to me. On my skin at least it smells above average good and above average long lasting, yet I miss that certain ineffable extra to turn it into a pure masterpiece. I guess the closest definition of this fragrance would be a contemporary gourmand scent with dark Mediterranean notes as an undertone to the vast majority of edible ones, targeted at young urban adults and with an wearability somewhere halfway trough designer, high-class casual and relaxed, "classic with a twist formal wear". I actually love about this scent some outstanding notes, but the combination/overall impression make me give a neutral rating only. That dark Mediterranean style is one of this fragrances achievements- it's like the usual herbal recipe was reshaped, restyled in a more bad-boy, a more edgy and mysterious way, with more depth and strenght. Unfortuntely, there is also a fugdy, coffe-like bitter sweetness that counterbalances this otherwise flawless spicyness ( which would otherwise remind me of two of my favourites: Versace l'Homme and Esencia Loewe, if this one was less powdery and more classic, aromatic and resinous like these two ). This very coffee note makes it all a bit too powdery for my taste, but maybe a new reapplication ( and subsequent reevalution ) would take out the scorching dryness- which is by no means warm or sensual- of this one and leave me more romm to concentrate on the very notes which, taken separately, would have generated an indisputable milestone of perfection. At least the bottle has "attitude" rather than mass-market appeal
( because ironically today's fashion, whcih also applies to perfume equates attitude not with creativity, indvidual freedom, uniqueness, strong personality but rather conformism, unpretentiousness, familiarity inadequately, but smilingly and cunnigly sold as the former values ), reminding marginally of some hints of Art Deco in combination with some limited edition of a Zippo.

Well... I have changed my opinion on this from YAY to NAY...

I can see why people say this is nothing more than Armani Code with lavander. But I assure you that it is not totally true. While I admit on first application because of the coffee notes being a bit dry and bland it shares similar characteristics with Guaiac Wood. You know the whole dry and dusty type smell?

Well the coffee and lavender blend well on my skin... Not too bad. But it could have better use of the gourmand notes. See Rochas Man... Over all it is okay.. I wouldn't add it to me ole collection..

I don't smell Code at all in this one. I am not a fan of Code, but, I do appreciate it and it doesn't bother me. This doesn't bother me either, but, there is anything about it that makes it another "Armani Classic".

I can't decide if I like this or not. It is a compelling fragrance but not one I necessarily like. I am not sure where I fall on this one, the scent peaks my interest and I keep wanting to smell it but it does not make me want to run out and buy it.

It is spicy but not offensive, that is the best I can come up with on a review. This is the first cologne I have run across that has me confused like this. Usually I like it or hate it but I am not sure how I feel about Attitude.

Guys, I have the idea that this is a come back of an known scent to me. Of course it is not 100% the same as the other one but based on it as the Thierry Mugler's B is based on the Casual Friday of Escada. If you spray 1 time TM A and two times Casual friday then you would have TM B. I think that Lancome Hypone for men has the same base of Casual Friday. Can someone remember or find out what is it with Armani Attitude. I get sick of these cheap practices of the fragrance companies. Becasue a lot of people lack the smell-memory so they bring the same product or with a little different back again, or they sell it to another brand like AdG as Aqua de Bulgari. It is to me like different brands of mayonnaise or Ketchup. They are slightley different in taste but still the same thing. When a fragranec is discontinued, I wonder when they would bring it back under another brand and when so that we can forget about it and can't remember it anymore and say "Hey, what a wonderful new scent!"

Somebody previously mentioned that this smells like the new replacement B*Men... I disagree. To me, this is clearly the new replacelment Visit by Azzaro. Smell it, and you will agree. This is a solid scent though, but just another step in a growing scent trend.

Smells like Armani Code version 2. In fact I'm not all that sure if there is a difference. Seems to me like they might just be capitalizing on the success of Code.

This scent really has nothing to do with the tough looking bottle.

It is very very sweet.
Nothing wrong with sweet, but there has to be some roundness, softness to it just to smoothen things a bit, fortunately there is, though still way to sweet for my taste.

This scent is way better than my recently tried sampler of CK IN2U, it is a bit richer, deeper and rounder, but still fresh enough for spring evenings.

In fact it really is reminiscent of Minotaur, a light and sharper version that is and because I have Minotaur at hand I'll try to describe some differences.

Minotaur is much warmer and deeper in its base, probably just a sweet as this new Armani, but without the sharp sting you'll get in your nose.

The opening of Minotaur is very different, more spicey and lemmony, very rich and expressive scents.
Armani's attitude is all candy in the beginning, very pink and sharp smelling but (luckily) dries down soon in a pleasant mix of (correct me if I'm wrong) cinnamon, musk, wood and a touch vanilla, but unfortunately too sweet for me

I agree with "the slomotion" that Armani Attitude lasts longer than Minotaur, but I wouldn't say Minotaur smells synthetic, on the contrary: on my skin it smells much more natural and organic than Armani's latest offering.

"I say", said the Nobleman from Yorksire, "This smells strikingly similar to B*Men". I replied by saying, "At least it doesn't burn your nostrils and the spice is wearable with smooth amber".

If you like Thierry Mugler's B*Men, you'll like Armani Attitude. IMO, the two scents are very close to one another... almost indistinguishable. In other words, don't fret that B*Men is in the process of being discontinued... you can get what is basically the same stuff in the form of Attitude.

Still, it's bad enough that Giorgio Armani has given us the grossly overworn (at least in America) Acqua di Gio and Armani Code. For this reason, I expect Attitude to sell like hotcakes and be overused as well, thanks to that golden Armani name.
