Versace is such a wonderful, elegant and fresh floral fragrance. It is truly magnificent.

The opening is a beautiful blend of fruits and flowers. Instead of both components clashing with one another and fighting for dominance, they both come together in harmony creating a lush and perfect scent.

The heart is also quite enjoyable with hints of a champagne-like note making an appearance alongside the jasmine and orchid. The fragrance at this point is almost fresh, yet still sophisticated and elegant.

There is something very classic about Versace. Perhaps it is the simplistic yet striking bottle or the richness of the scent itself that makes me feel this way.

The lasting power and sillage are simply amazing, there is no other way to put it. The power of this fragrance is almost explosive, so I recommend that users of this fragrance apply with a light hand.

If you're looking for something sensual, rich, feminine and classy, I would advise you to choose Versace as your next purchase.

This Versace reminds me very much of a much lighter (and nicer) Laila. The fruity opening is not as strong and long lasting and it settles into a lovely powdery floral. Although nothing special, it is quite nice and definitely perfect for office or daily use.

I just smelled this for the first time a few weeks ago and my first thought was "mmmm...grapes!" On checking the notes, I was amused at seeing that wisteria is listed as one of the top notes- I had always thought that wisteria smelled like grapes, but wondered if it was attributed to visually associating grapes with the purple dangling clusters on the wisteria bush- now I'm thinking there is more to it than that!

This is a very enjoyable fragrance that I can imagine wearing for any occasion, in any season...

Love, Love, LOVE this fragrance. It is my favorite to smell. Now, is it my signature scent? I'm not sure yet, the jury is still out on that. I love the soft floral notes and the semi sharp fruity note- the lotus & blackcurrant notes are my favorite part of the experience. The best part is on the dry down, on me it turns into this soft powdery, fruity, floral that leaves a sweet trail of scent as I walk past. It's one of those scents where people can say, "she always smells nice" but they may not necessarily stop you to beg to find out what perfume you have on.... hence, the reason it's not my signature fragrance yet. I personally hate strong, pungent scents..... so this is right up my alley: sweet and unassuming; spritely but never precocious.... I love it for daytime at work and right out the shower before bed, a spritz on the chest and inner thighs make for lovely aromatically sweet dreams.

I'm editing this review June 1, 2011. I love this fragrance. It's sheer yet long lasting, elegant, yet easy to wear anywhere and anytime. The fruitiness is tart, not syrupy sweet, the florals are sheer, not bombshell. The drydown is clean and soft. It's a lovely composition, well integrated, and good quality from start to finish. It might smell generic because it doesn't seem to be trying too hard to stand out. It just smells good. I have recieved a couple of compliments on this one, too, and I rarely receive compliments on fragrances (esp. from my husband but he likes this one).

A happy perfume. Sets me in a good mood. It is not to be compared to any of the great melancholic classics like the Guerlain gems. Comparing everything to them would result in not liking anything. I just love it. Its golden juice is full of life like the sun. It has excellent longevity and is rather strong but still suitable for daily use. In fact, despite it's being strong, I would not recommend it for an evening function. It is too happy, solar and flowery for that.
