Purplebird7 describes it perfectly. The galbanum seems to immediately take over lending a deep, dry, rich woody green accord that reminds me of some of the green heavy hitters of MPG and Diptyque, but much more wearable, loveable, and sniffable. It’s an admirable accord, at once darkly heavy and richly intriguing. The accords are resinously green / woody and the notes are essentially unidentifiable to my nose as individual notes (except for the galbanum), but they surely deliver in the form of a complex, refined whole… Hanane dries down to an excellent combined wood accord and it exhibits great longevity. This fragrance set a near record in making it into my fragrance collection. Love it!

Hanane dries down to Je Reviens on me!! From the many notes I get the galbanum and roses, the jasmine, sandalwood, and clove. The patchouli/balsam are more discreet - have no idea why it ends up being a powdery JR - but it does.

Beautifully composed, Hanane's on my hit list right now.

Do not look for any sweetness in this fragrance, which is a highly unusual offering from Madini's line of traditional Arabian perfumes. Hanane smells like nothing you have ever smelled before. The dark, reddish liquid is strong, pungent, deep, salty, mossy, complex, bittersweet, redolent of dried leaves, and very woody. It is described as a Balsamic composition with a long list of ingredients including, galbanum, tuberose, red rose, jasmine, clove, sandalwood, patchouli, amber, and musk, but it smells like none of these. The development is clever, and it becomes more attractive as you wear it, ending up smelling very outdoorsy, natural, and compelling.
