  |  It is supposed to be a "contemporary fougere," but to be honest, I am not sure I get that from Covet. I do not smell any geranium nor anything herbal or fern-like. I do not even get the chocolate. What I smell is a bright green mixed citrus over a sweet musk base, all extremely synthetic. In fact, the middle part of the development is almost like sweet latex rubber to my nose. I have smelled the same notes in Burberry Brit and JPG Gaultier^2. I own a full bottle, so I liked it enough to take the plunge. However, I really don't understand the fourgere categorization on this one. On the plus side, the longevity is amazing (at least 12 hours).22 October 2008 |
 | I so, so, SO wanted to fall in love with this fragrance based on the notes, the description of it and on my first experience of it. When I first tried it a few weeks ago, the opening was gorgeous and inviting...and now, on my third try, after having sprayed it properly on my skin this time (not just a small squirt)...the dry-down is a real let-down! I get a mediocre amber cut with a stabbing, sharp note of paint stripper. This doesn't suit me at all. 07 July 2008 |
 | I quite liked Covet's Paris-inspired ad and looked forward to giving it a whiff especially when Lovely was such a big pleasant surprise. But Covet just managed to get a brief approval from me. I admit I did like the initial scent especially with the strong presence of geranium leaves, and the later half of amber and the lingering air of lavender. But of course, the compliments end here and I was left a little bit disappointed but you never know, fresh and mainstream perfumes like this one never fails to get its young fans! 19 November 2007 |
