Reviews of Tracy

I received a sample of the EDP as a gift; the card just says "Ellen Tracy," and "The Classic Fragrance." I am very glad I did not purchase this. I do not like it at all. It is very sharp--perhaps too much rose and jasmine? I could not detect any peach or cinnamon.

This is not an especially complex scent at all. I find it quite linear, and there is nothing at all sweet about it. Top notes were harsh and acrid. By the dry down, it just smelled really harsh. It stays fairly close to the skin. Had to wash it off a few minutes after I applied it as it gave me an horrible headache. Too bad as I hoped I would like it.

I like it. This scent is very gentle and powdery, very womanly. I get many compliments!

A luminous demure aura extreamly feminine
scent nothing sharp harsh or edgy just
a soft non obtrusive with a girlish innocence kind of a scent that is safe and
ideal for young girls for their first perfume collection.
It opens with a scent of sweet and airy
peonies delicate sweetness of each pink
petal dries fresh with a green note of
cassia adds to the freshness then in a
minute or so turns fruity with the succulent note of plum blossom and i also can detect juicy ripe peach mingling with the deeper and more juicer
plum dries the top note.

Rose opens the middle notes but it's
faint and diluted then iris with it's powdery texture steeps slowly though
the middle note then delicate note of
purple violet finishes the middle note.

The drydown opens with an milky accord
that is a bit cloying to my senses amber
with a warm coziness begins to makes it's presence then it finishes with
dry sandalwood and vanilla to end this

Ubu, when an opportunity to buy a bottle presented itself, I checked the reviews and found yours. I trust your judgement so I went ahead with the purchase. Like you, I am pleasantly surprised. I keep sniffing my arm becuase I love the creaminess of this scent. I pick up vanilla and almond but a very subtle floral that reminds of gardenia. It is indeed an excellent scent for the summer. Very wearable.

This fragrance is a real sleeper! I'm very suprised at how pleasing this unique blend smells! Some listed notes are: vanilla, cassis, rose, almond milk, peony, amber, plum, muguet, iris & sandalwood. Although I can pick out each yummy note, the almond milk note is to die for - creamy, like sweet butter. This is a wonderful balance of tart, sweet, powder, spice, wood, green, well...a real symphony. Finally, a fresh floral that is different and wearable! Don't let this gem pass you by. Appropriate for summer day-into-night wear. My only complaint is the bottle, rectangular and chunky, not delicate, detailed or pretty enough to reflect the superb contents!
