As soon as I smelt this I had to buy it for my wife its a a great dark smell with a lot of depth - It does remind me immediately of Narcisso Rodriguez (which I had got my wife previously). The musky background lingers around for hours.... 05 September 2008

The more I wear it, the more I like it. It has a slightly shrill floral note that I don't appreciate, but once that burns off, it morphs into a gorgeous leathery/honey musk skin scent. It's sophisticated and grown-up sexy, neither too foody nor too sweet, and the bottle is classic and beautiful. Will probably not appeal to the younger crowd, but this totally works for me right now (42 year old professional). Perfect for the office. Will be a major contender in the fall/winter lineup. 09 August 2008

This fragrance is very easy to wear for the woman who doesn't really like floral or fruity frags, yet doesn't want to smell like a spice box. I consider this scent to be glamorous, but slightly vapid. Sophistication bought rather than inherent...moneyed. I like it, it's a no-brainer. Sometimes, however, I prefer complexity. It doesn't smell like NR EDT--there's a rosey vetiver note in NR EDT that is completely lacking in Gucci by Gucci. If you like Very Sexy by VS, you might like this--neither are too anything. 06 August 2008

Living 240 miles from The Perfume House in Portland, Oregon, I have to get my perfume fix at the local Macy's. The day I went there were few customers and after chatting up the sales associate, just asked her for samples of everything she had samples of. I got the new cotton candy frags, some SJP Lovely and this. I don't see resemblance to Lovely at all, which I couldn't scrub off my arm for three days. This was the only one of the bunch I not only would wear, but love. It's adult, warm, and though at first sniff I would have confined it to fall, the dry-down would work in any season except, perhaps, spring. It's the first new release in a long time that I wouldn't leave for the younger women--finally, something for them to grow into. The only reason I'm not saving to buy it is that it has so little lasting power. It remind me of something, but I can't think what. Not Lovely, though, not at all. 01 July 2008

Yes, I do like Gucci! It is much better than most new releses. It has it´s own tone, and is not made for the young people, I guess. I can imagin to get this one, but I wait a while, as I do have some classics that aren´t totally different. 19 April 2008

For being a heavily fruited scent, I find this to be quite raw and complex. It is not sour or bubbley, but rather sophisticated and even a tad leathery. I was very excited to see another complex honey musk blend. 17 December 2007

This is not the chypre in a classic sense, but nonetheless a beautiful way of interpreting chypre sans oakmoss which means you don't get any of that old lady skank in this scent. It starts off with bright tropical fruity notes and thank God not the candied variety, then a sensual accord of lily of the valley warmed by tiare. The patchouli weaves itself underneath it paired with what I think is cardamom or coriander which I think gives off its chypre accord. The ambery base is what I think gives it a sultriness and strength. Its mostly understated notes, good balance, and versatility is what I think will make it a classic cornerstone scent, not to mention make it unisex enough for both genders to wear. To compare this scent with another, I think SJP Lovely had a similar vibe with its floral-patchouli accord though Gucci is more sweeter, paired with Armani Attitude for its ambery notes. Vinegar? Nothing sour or fermented about this one when I smell it. Hearty thumbs up for me. 28 October 2007
