Interesting take on a fragrance classic. It's like the original ADP meets the original Polo but much smoother and more refined than the original Polo. It opens up with the familiar bright citrus accord with a leathery and tobacco undertone and a few minutes later they become equally as strong as each other. About 2 hours in the citrus is pretty much gone and you are left with a soft, mellow leather/tobacco and spice cologne that is still very nice. By hour 5 it is pretty much gone. I like the scent, the scent life is a little disappointing however but that seems to be a problem for ADP across the board. 05 October 2008

I love it, it's my favourite perfume, at the moment. Shame it doesn't last very long. (And i find the bottle not very well realized: the print of the label fades as you pass your finger on it, and the "metallic" finish of the plastic cap flakes off...) 01 September 2008

I just received this and am wearing it today. I agree with Dimitri. You feel like you are the most sophisticated man out there when wearing this. It started off with definite citrus for me. Lemony in a way. It then settled down into a woodsy, leathery, yet subtle scent that screams class. I love it. Everyone should try this. 07 August 2008

This is my favorite of the AdP colognes--I find it to be more understated yet also more complex than the others. I think I detect some Iso Super E in this composition, and consider Intensa to be one of the subtler and more skillful applications of that aromachemical. None of the AdP colognes really knock my socks off, but this is the one I could see in my rotation. 26 July 2008

"Colonia Intensa" is the sun in the Acqua di Parma universe, to my mind. When wearing this, I am overcome with a sense of wistful sentimentality... a truly refined gentleman's scent that, despite reminding me of a bygone era; has a distinctive air of modernity. The lush citruses present in the top and heart notes have their sharp edges softly rounded by faint spices and one of the most remarkable leather accords I have experienced yet. The woody, musky base is not at all overwhelming, rather, it lends a subtle earthy undertone upon which the whole composition sits neatly. Its clever and understated blend of quality leather and mediterranean citruses is distinctly Italian in style. More 'refined' and less harsh that "Colonia" and "Colonia Assoluta", Intensa is a sophisticated fragrance that can be worn and enjoyed on all occasions. It has swiftly become a favourite. 23 April 2008

All men should try this at least once. All the attributes of the original, but with a nice woody drydown. Total class. Kaern 21 April 2008

Maybe it's just me, but I like Colonis Intensa AND original Acqua di Parma. Yes this is different in some ways, but similar in others. It has the distinctive AdeP Italian citrus sensibility; but it is well...more intense, and somewhat longer lasting. Strangely, this fragrance is somewhat "two sided"-- it's AdeP all right, but then it has a somewhat more burnished, stronger element that is not all that AdeP. It's AdeP with a more forward, alternative side that comes through as wearing of it progresses through the day. The original is younger; fresher; and a little simpler. This is a bit more complex, with a few little spikes. It last a bit longer and has more development in the drydown than the Original, which is wonderfully more fresh, and so hopelessly evanescent. What a great name "evanescent" would be for a fragrance! 12 April 2008

this is the first truly male fragrance from adp and is total class.Having been a fan of both the original colonia and assoluta since i first discovered them ,i was unsure how this new scent would compare. it is however an outstanding addition to the range and distinctly male . longevity is much better than both the originals (but i guess that depends on the individual -everyone is different) which has to be a bonus and it smells wonderfull. if you havent tried it get a hold of some now .10 out of 10 10 April 2008

it is my first acqua di parma purchase and i have never smelled any other adp before to compare it too either It is a classy smelling fragrance that has a nice zip to it when first applied , has a musky citrusy smell and dries down to a nice smooth finish but the longetivity is not great though. all in all though it gets the thumbs up 08 January 2008
