Prada Infusion d'Iris (2007)

A bright, citrus and oriental scent, with touches of galbanum and iris. Perfect for warm weather, which is what we're having as I write this. This is fairly enveloping and rather rich, even a little creamy, without being in any way in-your-face. Pleasant, uplifting, cheerful. My only issue with this is that the combination of iris and benzoin makes for a slightly powdery drydown; and yet, this is less powdery than I would have expected. The oriental notes and the galbanum fortunately seem to go a long way toward mitigating the powdery effect.

I really want to like this fragrance, but there's something so sneezy about it. And whenever I wear it, I get a headache within 3 minutes, without fail.

Sad to say, Infusion d'Iris does not "work" on my skin. I'm not familiar with a wide range of iris scents - the only one I own is AdP Iris Nobile, and I love that. In comparison, Infusion d'Iris smells very simple to my nose - it does not develop a great deal on my skin, and worse, tends to smell cheap and chemical. Amazing what different skin chemistries can do to perfume. UPDATE: I was going to pour my sample of this down the drain, but decided to give it a couple of more tries. I now find myself liking its dryness; plus it has a rather mood lifting effect. The staying power is quite good. In short, whether I am spraying more lightly, or the weather has warmed up, or...my taste has changed...I am enjoying this enough to consider buying a bottle.

I love this scent but as a very fair, blue eyed blonde with freckles (all of you out there with similar coloring will understand), this has NO lasting power for me at all. I will probably go through my bottle in a week, a very expensive week. Lucky are the ones who talk about it's staying power, on me it's about 10 minutes at best. I 'm hoping summer heat will help.

Me, too, find Prada Infusion d´Iris outstanding. It is an oriental, gentle, but the oriental-theme is there beneath the other tones all the time, and gives the frag a mysterious touch.

I adore Prada(new), but find it a frag difficult to wear, as it is easy to put too much on, and then it becomes horrible on my skin. Prada Infusion d`Iris is much easier to wear.

The Iris-note is truly really beautiful!

Worn with the bodylotion, there is no problem with the longlivety.

I do hope this will become a classic!

I think this is the best Iris scent I have ever smelled full stop. It's the only perfume in my wife's collection I covet,

I understand that Prada are to bring out a male version of this. But they needn't bother since on a male skin this smells very different anyway, how do I know? Because I am wearing it right now and I have male fragrances which smell more feminine than this does on male skin.

In the same way as Terre D'Hermes transforms on a woman's skin to a shimmering light fragrance, so Infusion D'Iris changes on male skin.

This is one of the best fragrances male or female of the last few years and deserves to become an all time classic. Thumbs up seems too small a gesture of praise for this absolutely stunning fragrance.

Every woman should treat herself to a bottle of this.

And men whose skin allows them to wear it should get themselves a bottle too!
