    Like the other Roger & Gallet fragrances I’ve tried, Rose Eau Douce parfumée (aka Gentle Fragrant Water) is clean, a bit sharp, and very refreshing. It’s hard for me to believe that R & G could make a rose note so absent of the heaviness that I usually find in rose fragrances. Well… to be completely honest, I smell very little rose, but I do smell peony. The citrus of the opening nicely augments the cleanliness and purity of the fragrance, and balance well with the floral notes of the opening and heart levels. The base stays subtle and light with its light amber, almond, and milk. I find Rose truly enjoyable and I recommend it as a rose fragrance for those who don’t really like rose.
