Neroli (2007)

Intensely sweet and sugary. Powdery and candied.
No neroli that I can detect. No orange blossom.
A bland, sweet, floral with no distinguishing features.

A strong neroli accord with an intense white flowers presence followed by widely soaring spices ( cumin, the touch of acidity reports to it), amber, benzoin, sandalwood and musk. The whiff is a bit vintage, opulent and decadent because of the indolence of white flowers. Almost edible. I detect cedar in the composition. The orange blossom presence is impressive while the dry down is a bit milky and powdery. Excellent sillage. Not bad.

This dark crimson red juice is a sweaty version of the pleasantly citrusy scent of neroli. It's like they made the stuff run 100 laps around a track covered in vanilla. Note: sweat here is actually the woodsy, herbal smell of WAY TOO MUCH CUMIN. A McQueen;s Kingdom in disguise? It smells a bit too "icky" for my tastes.

This scent seems like something from the roaring 20's, it makes me think of an artist/femme fatale who happily causes controversy! very Art Nouveau. As far as neroli/ orange blossom scents go, it's not like the others. They are cute kitties, this is a tiger. I like deep & rich scents, but this one I dab ever so lightly.. It's deep, bold, vampy, dark & smooth, joyfully rich & decadent. Here & there while I wear it it seems almost too sweet, but the warm depth & darkness to it mellow that out just barely enough.. I don't think I could wear it very often. But it will be a fun one to visit in the winter!
