First impression: cheap soap, the kind you buy in long rectangular slabs. But if you can somehow get past the soapy accords, you may well notice something quite refined and understated about IdH. And the more wearing it gets the more it will grow on you. IdH is so clean smelling you'd feel as though you've just stepped out of the shower, freshly scrubbed. I dare say it beats many gym scents out there simply by changing the rules of the game! This is a scent that will no doubt polarize reviewers and for that I applaud Prada for the risky yet bold move. For me, the scent evokes memories of my childhood. I was 5 or 6 then and my mom was doing the laundry, scrubbing away at a washboard with a bar of coarse yellow soap. Nostalgia is rarely experienced these days; for a scent to evoke one from as far back as my early childhood, I must say "well done." 09 September 2009

cool, chalky candy cigarettes. This fragrance is one of contrasting textures, and your nose seems to "feel" it as much as smell it. So dry and cold a big blast of white and then trailing along underneath, a warm, quiet fizzy stream of something Dr Pepper-ish. Infusion D'Homme smells like the world's best clean white bedsheets would smell. This strikes me as somewhat minimalist-- there aren't any dead-weight notes here. I was initially unimpressed with both this and Prada's Amber Pour Homme. Weird thing though, they've both turned out to be workhorse fragrances that I NEVER get tired of. Both fragrances give me that "new haircut" feeling and are easy to wear. I found Infusion D'Homme to be pleasantly addictive. 18 July 2009

Atrocious soapy iris. I can tolerate Prada's other iris-dominated offerings, but for some reason find this one cringe- and scrub-worthy. By all means test this one all the way through dry down before you buy. 07 June 2009

I can see from the flags under your nicks that not many of you have lived through a communist regime, which means you may have not smelled the smells of that time and place. I am only 27, I just touched it as to say, but enough to remember the smell of the most ordinary soap there was. And there was only one. And Prada Infusion d'Homme smells exactly like that. Isn´t it funny? 07 June 2009

I like this fragrance from the outset. Its not fresh in the traditional sense (basically its not citrusy) but sort of an expensive musculine floral soap scent. Its like you left the shower after using a $100 soap. Its nice only for the summer months but its doesn't last on my skin for too long 4hours max. 06 June 2009
