I’ve long given up on finding a chocolate scent for my wardrobe and Chocolate Greedy’s not going to change that.

It starts off with a blast of dry, dark cocoa plus a wafer-like accord. After a few moments, a cake or biscuit dough mix emerges with some vanilla underlying the whole development. Credit should be given to Montale for anchoring the vanilla firmly in the background, while the cocoa notes continue to dominate (something that greatly hinders other chocolate scents). The dough mix accord, however, never completely disappears and this is its main dowwnfall. Some have said there’s a cardboard note during the drydown and I’m sure this originates from that very accord. At times it’s pleasant but other times it’s just downright irritating.

It’s not a sillage monster but seems to have very good longevity. There’s also a creaminess that occasionally presents itself but never sticks around long enough – I probably would have liked this more if it did. Too bad…

Chocolate powder mix! Like Hershey's or Ovaltine or soemthing that you put in milk to get chocolate milk. Smells like the powder. This stuff is teneacious and there are times that it seems like it wants to go elsewhere like into a dark floral territory or to a fruity woods but simply remains a chocolated vanilla bar. If it were richer and creamier I would find this delicious but wearing your dessert I'd go for something lighter liek Rochas Man, A*Men or Third Man.

Starts out sickly-sweet and with a strong, fake-buttery accord I find disgusting. At this stage, I think of toffee rather than chocolate - toffee or caramel with added artificial butterscotch flavour. Though my girlfriend immediately recognised chocolate without knowing the name of the fragrance - but she added it wasn't very good or dark chocolate, more like chocolate cookies with cream filling. It dries down to a soft, powdery sort of nondescript gourmand, vaguely chocolatey but not like pure chocolate at all, more like chocolate cake or fudge or something. Quite warm and cosy but too sweet and boring for me. I've tried better pure chocolate fragrances from cheap perfume oil companies.

this is amazing. Smells to me exactly like an ice cream sandwich with chocolate on top and bottom, vanilla in the middle. I could smell that immediately and then it did become creamier with some time on my skin. After a while it began to smell like a burnt chocolate cookie and then turned back into a mellow milk chocolate smell. I was totally enthralled. I don't know if I could smell like this all the time. So yummy.

Simply put this smells like a thick milk chocolate sauce. Its not dark chocolate to me - dark chocolates are bitter and less sweet.
No, this is milk chocolate, whipped with mocha flavoured cream. Some vanilla sugar thwown along.

CG is thick and smooth sticky gourmand.

You`re at the coffee chop. You want to enjoy a block of chocolate made from fresh milk, and a dark mocha latte with vanilla cream.

Sounds good? Would like to wear this little delicious treat??!

If so, you must get into Chocolate Greedy as soon as possible.

This is a rich, dark chocolate… it even captures that very dry almost burnt note that sits on top of dark chocolate almost like a powder – excellent. But this wonderful, rich, luscious version of chocolate has one problem: It lasts only about twelve minutes before it morphs into a very soft, quite negligible cocoa scent. For support and contrast, there’s a dry almond note (or is it bitter orange?) in the background; and the chocolate accord eventually turns creamy, but these are negligible change that don’t even seem like they are helping the progression of the fragrance, so Chocolate Greedy turns out to be uninspired. It’s rather disappointing that the really good notes last for so short of time. I’m voting neutral, but I would encourage a chocolate lover to test this.
