What we've got here is essentially a fruit-meringue-cream gourmand. It's sweet but not overbearingly so. There's definitely not much sillage but it's clear this was designed as a skin scent. What starts off as lemony becomes somewhat more apple-like over time. Longevity is decent - a few hours. There's enough vanilla and musk to keep Lann Ael from ever becoming transparent, in which case I'd have been disappointed. It's tough to judge something like this without knowing what was intended.... if the intent was to create a complex fragrance that tells a story this doesn't make the grade. If the intent was to create a pretty, fun skin scent then it's spot on. I'm a sucker for gourmands hence the thumbs up, but I'll point out this could be a little better - perhaps a little more complex, even for what it is. 25 December 2008

Weird stuff, this. It’s cookie dough. Lemon sugar cookie dough, to be precise. It’s sweet, soft, and fuzzy, with plenty of vanilla and a candied citrus note that smells an awful lot like McCormick’s lemon extract. The composition has a flat quality about it, probably because there’s very little that's spicy or tart to cut the powdered sugar texture. Between the relatively one-dimensional vanilla and the decidedly artificial citrus note, the composition also comes off as cheap and incomplete: more like something you’d spray around a house for sale to make it smell “homey” than a personal fragrance. It might have made a good candle. 20 December 2008

A big disappointment for me. Unlike a previous poster I found this not mild enough. I detect no milk note, just sugary cereal, and the sugar is synthetic smelling and heavy/dirty. I would *love* a frag that smelled of cream of wheat with cream and brown sugar on top, but for me, this ain't it. 03 October 2008

Very, very interesting and different. I get the distinct impression of a very foody sort of fragrance, like cream of wheat with vanilla in it, made with creamy whole milk -- it's nice but too mild for my taste. Worth a sample size try just because it's so unusual. 02 August 2008

My least favorite in the Lostmarc’h line. Lann-Ael smells like an oatmeal cookie tinged with orange “drink” from a carton. In other words, smelling it transports me back to snack time at pre-school. This is just not how I (as a 42 year old woman) want to smell but Lann-Ael likely to be deeply admired by those who like gourmand fragrances. 19 June 2008

What an unusual fragrance! Cereals, in particular Fruit Loops (!), are the predominant notes. The dry down consists of more Fruit loops, vanilla, and milk (of course). I get lots of compliments when I wear Lann-Ael, and, as you might guess, my kids love it! It also layers well with other fragrances in my collection, in particular the Creative Scentualization line (lots of vanilla, there). I suspect it would also be good with spicy fragrances. Weird, wonderful, and wearable. 09 June 2008
