"The bergamot goes and is replaced by a leather note" said the Harrods sales person. I get neither bergamot, leather, nor violets, just a rhindy bitterness in a scent almost good enough to be sold in supermarkets. . A bit of tobacco later in a fairly smooth development isn't enough to make me pay for this. Gucci for women is a far superior fragrance compared to this. D&G's recent release is much better and far more intriguing as far as new Italian releases go. Try first, you'll be thinking "what's all the fuss about?". Mediocre at best.

I am not an exprienced fragrance lover as many of you on this board, having sniffed perfume for the last year and a half, but i sort of developed my taste. And to my nose this is one of the worst smelling fragrances on the market. I will not even bother testing it for the second time. It just smells dull, uninteresting and reminiscent of cheap and mass-market products.

This just landed in stores here in Finland, so i sprizzed some on on my way to a job interview.
This was a disappointment beyond words. Simply boring! I could not believe it after trying out the new womens' Gucci. Even the bottle looks..well, as boring as the scent. There is nothing "gucci" about it. I can't even begin to describe the scent, that's how bland, flat and boring I found it.
I'm furious.

Firstly I have to say that I love all things Gucci. Envy has been my only scent for several years. When I first sprayed the new Gucci on my wrist in the store, I loved it and enjoyed the scent for several hours. It seemed leathery and tabaccolike, reminded me of the smell of an old leather chesterfield settee. Something different and more distinguished, I thought. A few days later I went back and bought a bottle. When I applied it at home, all I got was a high pitched scream of Violet which did not seem to develop or change in any way at all. I had to wash it off in the end because I couldn't stand it. Its like a totally different product than the one I tried in the store. So very dissapointing, I so wanted the chesterfield settee, but got cloying sickly sweet kids candy instead.

acceptfacts says 'stunned" (hope u dont mind me quorting) . but i was already expecting it to be disappointing after my purchase of ph `1&2. they are like sell outs along with channel allure homme and homme sport. they could have done something else instgead orf the common pleasant fresh scent. id rahter something difficult than have to pull my hair off over how Envy transpired into ph 1&2 AND NOW THIS. what next Gucci II by Gucci Pour homm? rubbish this. sorry but disappointement comes when confidence is betrayed. anotehr mass appeal scent. nothing classy, too eaily replacable by many other labels b4 this. making this look like a copy cat.

Dissapointed isnt the word.... Stunned....from the house which produced one of the more unique and spicier designer fragrances anywhere, this absolute garbage is their new idea of cologne? I couldnt discern any notes because there were none....it went on as pure alcohol and before alcohol fully settled down you couldnt smell anything at all..... I tried it on 3 different times with the same results...This was the first day Gucci was 'out' on shelves so all the SA's were going berserk trying to have anyone sniff and try it......... I took 2 samples with me, lets see if my horrible first impression will change with another try.
