Smells nothing like the original Dior Homme and comes off rather synthetic and generic. So boring it's not even worth giving a full review. 7/10 23 November 2009

Best smelling sport scent out there, much better than allure sport and the rest. Heavy sillage during the first hour, poor sillage in the second and third hour. Then its gone, poor! 15 August 2009

This is certainly preferable to Homme and Homme Intense, but I still see no reason to justify a full bottle purchase in this range of products. Its single note is fresh and pleasing, but after a few hours this becomes a tedious bore. No doubt including the "Sport" in the title will ensure a rich seam of sales in the under 30s demographic, but in terms of creativity, this is instantly forgettable. 18 July 2009

Dior Homme Sport beats all the run-of-the-mill (fresh, citrus) sports fragrances hands down. How many spicy sports scents are there out there? Not many and this one's great. This is certainly a refreshing change and my wife likes it too, which is a rarity. 08 July 2009

The core of Dior Homme Sport is the citrus-ginger combo. On my skin the ginger is more prominent than the citrus. Basically that's all there is to DHS: a refreshing ginger scent. It's great for casual summer wear, not complex but very enjoyable. 05 July 2009

A synthetic and generic citrus fragrance with a faint woody base. I also found the elemi note (mainly responsible for the spicy-peppery accord) too overwhelming for the majority of its duration. Pass. [Original submission date: 28 September 2008] 26 June 2009

I am disappointed. I really liked Dior Homme and perhaps that is why I expected a lot from this fragrance. Dior Homme Sport, however, is a very different beast. Ginger is not bad, but this fragrance has a whole lot of it, and not much besides that, it seems. Applied in moderation it is perfect for the office, so that is why I give it a Neutral rating. Also, if you like ginger scents this is a good alternative to the much pricier Creed Tabarome Millesime. 25 June 2009

The first five minutes of DHS are effervescent, spritely, joie de vivre. After that five minute prelude, however, I find myself asking why I thought buying this cologne was a good idea. (Of course it was based on positive reviews somewhere, probably here...). That titillating little entry rapidly morphs over into an annoying, clinging, pungent...smell. I'm being polite - "aroma" is not deserved, "stench" is too strong, though that's the first word that came to mind. You can't get away from it, no matter how much you wish it would slink off and go infest someone else. Once it's dried down (see above, 5 minutes), you get this residual...smell...that is evocative of home products - something like mosquito coils, or laundry detergent, or the dreaded blue disks that live in the toilet reservoir. If those are the smells that you'd like to convey to the world, this is the stuff that will take you there. This stuf 19 June 2009

| Notes: Top: Citron, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Rosemary Middle: Ginger, Elemi, Lavender Base: Sandal, Vetiver, Cedar The 'Sport' edition of fragrances are synonymous with clean, fresh, boring, EDC-like, generic fragrances. I don't know exactly when this association was thought up at fragrance house think-tanks but it doesn't have to be this way. Sure, the word 'sporty' can connotate 'fresh/uplifting/uncomplicated' but that doesn't mean that every 'Sport' fragrance has to descend into the depths of mediocrity and ooze generic juice. How hard could it be to incorporate a novel molecule into a 'Sport' fragrance structure to lend it a bit of a distinct character? Which brings me to Dior Homme 'Sport' (Sport)...a citrus-aromatic so far away from the Dior Homme gene pool so as to be a Dior Homme step child. Sport encompasses everything thats wrong with the 'Sport' flankers. It shares nothing in common with Dior Homme EDT..gone is the dynamic and luscious iris-cocoa heart and the subtle leather base. Instead, the now tired and worn out pairing of citrus and ginger forms the heart of this heartless offering. Opening with a decent enough citrus blast which pierces all the way into the drydown (increasing in its sharp chemical tonality overtime), the heart notes introduce a ginger note which constructs a light spiced-citrus accord kept aloof by a background lavender note. Three hours later the even more generic base of cedar and vetiver puts the finishing touches on Francois Demachys monument of mediocrity. About the only good thing I can say about Sport is that the citrus-ginger accord is well balanced. The citron note disintegrates into a sharp chemical mess as drydown approaches and the whole composition reeks of been-there-done-that a thousand gazillion trillion times. Fragrance neophytes will be excited by the bottle and the 'hey it smells better than Axe!' feel of Sport but for the rest of us Sport is something that some of us could have whipped up using a DIY set .. | Gorgeous. A "hot" fragrance with the ginger really coming to the fore on my skin. Love how the ginger interacts with the lemon. Perfect for a warm day. Good sillage and excellent longevity too. 31 May 2009 |

This is one of Dior's worst frags line. Nothing new to offer, too safe for a frag creation, which is lack of characters, and somehow the notes are basically citrus. 29 April 2009

Synthetic, fresh, sopay. Sadly it is somewhat cloying. It is not a hopless case, it's just that I'm obviously not that much into it. I'd wear it if someone bought it to me as a gift. Doubtly I'd buy it myself. 16 April 2009

I have only smelled it on my skin, on me it smells like orange peel with occasionally anise I think. I was hoping that it would develop into something I could enjoy or at least tolerate, after five hours it still smells like i rubbed orange peels on my skin. maybe i would like it on someone else... maybe. 07 April 2009

a month or so away from Dior Homme restored my lurv for its cool slope, or plunging neckline, from lavender through iris to patchouli. Tailored, headlong and ACE. As for the flanker, there is only one word for it : Orangina. Don’t get me wrong. I lurv Orangina with a pure and enduring lurv, some of my mouth’s happiest moments.... etc etc. But to wrap DH in Orangina just flattens out the swoop of the scent, making it prepubescent where it had once been an Ideal early-twenties. Not disgusting but wrong. “ ginger, citron, bergamot, grapefruit, rosemary, lavender, elemi, cedar, vetiver and sandalwood” 13 March 2009

I tried Dior Homme Sport and I m in love with it. I love spices and this frag is that: spices. This bottle is for people who enjoy to smell good and to project that as well. Clean and classy, not very common mix, I recommend it for every ocasion. Specially in casual moments. Much better than his overrrated father Dior Homme. 13 February 2009

t didn't smell at all like Dior Homme. The initial citrus blasts reminded me of.... of Higher.... of Allure.... of anything except Dior Homme. In fact, Kenzo Power smells more similar to Dior Homme, like an ice version of DH. But where is the iris in this flanker? At least with the other flanker- cologne, it has managed to retain some facets of DH dna. I don't think I'll be buying this flanker (lovely bottle though). As a citrus frag, it is only passable. I am holding my breadth that the other flanker- DH Intense would not disappoint me as much as DH Sport did. 24 January 2009

I'm not sure about this one: I saw it on the counter in Macy's and on a whim sprayed some on my hand. My girl proceeded to make multiple attempts to gnaw my hand off for the next six hours. All I smelled was an orange...maybe some ginger/cinnamon or whatever other spices are in this stuff; the combination gave me dry heaves. I asked my girl what she smelled and all she said was "mmmmm," while practically drooling from first spray to dry down. Not something I'd buy for myself, but I told her I'd wear it for her and only her, if she were to leave a bottle on my pillow. In the meantime, I'll stick to my Chanel Allure Sport. Cant go wrong with it, and we both love it. 23 January 2009

I originally bought this fragrance because my girlfriend liked it so much. It's intense freshness is like walking into a clean room recently wiped down with Pine Sol. No joke. I like this fragrance, but is smells extremely similar to Tommy Bahama Set Sail South Seas, that I recently took Sport back to just keep the TB. It got to the point that the difference between the two weren't noticeable enough to keep both. I kept the TB because it smells slightly sweeter and has better lasting power. If you're looking for a fresh clean scent that's energizing and bright, this is your best bet. It's something to wear to a party with loud music and people all around. The citron is the biggest thing that stood out to me. Everything else kinda just sat underneath it quietly and burnt out before a nice dry down could blend and project. It didn't last long enough on my skin to say its lasting power is great. It's just okay to me. Try this out before you buy it. It's nothing like orig Dior Homme. 20 January 2009

this is not just a lemon fragance ! , i dont like citrus perfumes, but this is more than this, sport share an unique fresh manly base that make it very comfortable, free and easy to wear, great choice for the upcoming hot days.. 06 January 2009

I really like this. It's like two fragrances in one. You get the typical citrus/sport smell as the base plus the sweet ginger/cinnamon/spicy smell found in fragrances like John Varvatos and D&G The One on top of it. What I especially like about this is the spicy aspect stays strong the entire time. In many of the other fragrances, the spice fades and gets flat after an hour or two. 19 December 2008

Two words -- why bother? The original is much better that this synthetic unoriginal offering. Uninspired and just chasing the money -- I've just answered my opening comments. Avoid. 17 November 2008

A fresher, more comfortable and more wearable version of the original Dior Homme. The opening shares a bit of the artificial notes of the original, but these are just some of the very few and dim signals that this is another version of Dior Homme. These artificial notes are far weaker and less inconvenient and they quickly disappear, making room for an ultra-fresh and invigorating scent. While the original is suitable for a cold, snowy, winter day, the sporty version is perfect for the hot summer days. Dior Homme Sport is a citrus fragrance which remains fresh and uplifting from start to finish. The lemony note remains strong and noticeable long into the drydown, an unusual characteristic even for a citrus fragrance... you won't find many fresher and more invigorating scents. 27 October 2008

So disappointing that this has the name Dior Homme. A fresh citrus fragrance that's similar to all them others, that I found uninspiring. The DH website doesn't list any Iris in this, so it's off my list. 24 October 2008

Sport=lemons and that is just fine becuase the regular Dior Hommes smells like a bag full of make up stuff...some say lipstick...yep, that too. Sport is definately the way to go. Sweet bright lemony. not original, but still good nonetheless. 20 October 2008

An iris frag for those who have a problem with too much iris, really. I find it a pleasant, spicy, citrus-heavy frag with just enough iris for dryness (sans the powdery, lipstick-y notes of the original Dior Homme). A definite thumbs up, yes, but do be aware that I only put on two squirts at Sephora yesterday. I was by myself for hours afterward, and so I cannot comment yet upon Dior Homme Sport's sillage. 14 October 2008

The original Dior Homme smelled too much of lipstick iris and not the sweet powderiness that others get. (I'm envious of that!) Sport tones that down and gives you more citrus for "sport" with ginger added (haha speaking of Envy...). Dries down to a sweet musk and some lavender. Nice. 11 October 2008

A really "elegant" parfum! It's a pleasure to smell it! The only problem is that (on my skin) its duration is not for longtime... 09 October 2008

So, on first smell I had been given a drink of ginger beer with a slice of lemon in. I sniffed the ginger beer, and it got stuck in my nose. Thus I disliked the fragrance. However, it's very much grown on me. The citrus is fantastic. Very bright, great projection. The Ginger accord brings a much more interesting facet to the fragrance - a great spicy "asset" and separates it from being a generic citrus/fresh to something different. Longevity is also great. Very pleased with it. Just confused with an Autumn launch. 27 September 2008

This really isn't the type of citrus that catches my nose. To me, the opening comes across like a sickly sweet orange push-pop odor, underscored by a light musky base with some light autumn spices. As it dries, the sweet orange fades, and I get a strong pumpkin pie aroma. Some may love this, but I would never call is a summer or sporty scent.......or wear it, for that matter. 15 September 2008

Very nice in of itself but to me there is little resemblance to Dior Homme and why does citrus equal 'sport'? Similar to several others; Chanel Allure Sport cologne included. Howvere this has a little more character with cedar and ginger in the mix to keep the liingering citrus company. Much nicer than Chanels's 'sport' offering as it is well-rounded and not a short-lived cologne but an EDT. Green / yellow colour suits the intention and is nearest to the olfactory notes' characters. This is one of those new releases that is inherently a very pleasant scent but underwhelming that it's both new and that its Dior. So, maybe a new ratings system for different aspects and expectations of a fragrance? Thumbs up for the scent and neutral for my expectations from Dior. 06 September 2008

haha, i only got one thing to add to the prvious posters review be careful with the amount u apply. while trying this on i was literally bein chased by 5-6 bees for over 1 hour. good, fresh summer scent but not worth getting it IMO. if u want freshness, go for coolwater happy summer or CL freeze me and if u want citrus with a lil warmness go for allure blanche however still a thumbs up 24 August 2008

This is certainly a citrus behemoth! Wow does the citrus last and last and LAST. I have to say that I am impressed! The top notes linger throughout the entire drydown, which is saying alot for citrus - most of us know that generally, they do not stick around long, but this definitely does. The mid of cedar is very subdued and the cedar that is used is more of a sweet scent - not too woody in the base. The part I like the most is the "ginger accord," it is a fantastic way to round it all off. While I like this, it is no way near the same as Dior Homme - which will forever be one of my favourites. However, this one is a fine addition to the Dior arsenal. Nice. 15 August 2008
