The opening burst is an earthy collection of aromas - sappy cyprus, fennel and spicy cardamom - but moments later, a lustrous bushel of florals emerge... soft peony and dry orris release their rousing perfume over a marzipan/brulée heart. The orris imbues the perfume with a wonderful huskiness against which the sweet florals and gourmand notes are juxtaposed. After some hours a chocolate-brown ribbon of wondeful patchouli and fragrant sandalwood weaves itself through the composition, and lingers well into the drydown.

Lexington Avenue is a fragrance that will be appreciated by those who enjoy the "more-ishness" of Mugler's Angel, or the rich floral fruitiness of La Prairie's Silver Rain, though perhaps Bond No.9 have succeeded well in diminishing the 'candied' nature of the afore-mentioned scents, and treated it with a very measured hand; emphasising it's chypre characteristics with a great degree of sensitivity.

mmmmmm......coffe, vanilla, licorice and a bit of candy thrown in at the top....and all so darn creamy....I would classify this as a modern unisex gourmand oriental....perfect for a romantic date or night out on the town.....might be a bit too sexy for the office....which makes it perfect for me.
