This 'Exclusif' from Chanel really suprises me. The notes here are interesting and seamless, in true Jacques Polge fashion, but the suprising part is the high pitch to which the florals climb and hold steady for the lifespan of this scent. I adore frangipani, and the freesia lends a clean & fresh vibe. Cool, and classy for sure, but what Chanel isn't? Refreshing too, that this fresh floral doesn't smell "flowery", if that makes sense. I would say if you are leary of bold floral frags, or don't care for soliflores very well, or even if you are bored with the current wave of springtime offerings, give this outstanding beauty a try. Beige has no borders in regard to age. Beige is cool - but not cold. Hard to believe LT & TS don't have anything good to say regarding this particular Chanel...Beige does not disappoint me in any way! Two thumbs way up!

I'll concur with previous reviews: "seamless," "elegant but young". I liked it a lot, and it's the first Chanel I've sniffed that I (in my 20's) would consider wearing. There's something crisp but not sharp about it - the name Beige fits it very well. Classy, cool. Longevity is *very* good.

Cnahel no. 5 Eau Fraiche? Has that baby powder-esque note of no. 5 with the added slight green notes of freesia and hawthorn and the distinct aldehydes are bolstered by frangipani. Rather so-so fragrance good for pretty much any woman to wear. Smells a little like a sweet banana floral bouquet.

Freesia is a cool note. Hawthorne, I don't know. I thought it would be green, but it's really another cool floral. Frangipani is a sweet tropical flower that is also spicy and fruity, and I can smell that acocord in here. Altogether, Beige gives me an impression of spring florals. It has the scent of those lovely, fresh, waxy flowers that grow from bulbs. As it dries down, it remains rather linear, with pronounced, tangy spring flowers. In my mind, it does not portray the color beige, but the attitude. This perfume is elegant but young, certainly more so than many classic Chanels. It doesn't break conventions, so the name is apt. Rather, it is something new without being unusual. I don't wear this type of fragrance often, and when I do, I choose Chamade or Jacinthe des Bois.
