Silver Shadow Private (2008)

In the middle between Joop Nightflight, Chanel Bleu, a whatever Nivea shower foam and Le Male, all with a dominant detergent and soapy final vibe. I smell effectively some resemblances with Armani Night. I  feel the dark cardamom, some watery fruits, orange, a notable violet leaves presence and musky lavender. Pleasant but not so original. A disappointment.

WOW !!! This is one hellova fragrance !! As ever1 says this is perfect for a date or evening wear. This is so romantic n seductive. I like it from the very begenning to the dry down. On my skin it lasts for about 5-6 hours. Pretty descent. This fragrance reminds me of D&G THE MAN and CARRERA EMOTION. Both of these i love. All these three are sweet. I an in so love with this fragrance that i wear it even when i go to sleep, coz i just cant part with this smell. Yes there are better fragrances out there but this is no small boy, it will stand up to the others.

What a nice "improvement" upon the original. Still have the musky, orange amber drydown but the opening and heart of dark spices (and a little arasive) spices really perks up the original Silver Shadow's dullness.

Dark and mystical. Not generic at all, great longevity and sillage. It is not a must have, but definitely has certain something that makes me want to wear it.

I've liked several Davidoff scents so when I read the reviews of this one I bought it immediately.
Mistake. On a positive note it has a nice looking bottle. On the other hand, it smells exactly and I mean exactly like L'Homme byYSL which was introduced a year earlier.
L'Homme is not a bad scent by any means but out of the 20 bottles in my rotation it is near the bottom. It has taken me 2 years to get 3/4 the way through a Small bottle of L'Homme.
I was looking forward to using it up but now I have the Shadow to deal with!

Wow, the violet does not hide itself in this one...Very close to Tom Ford for men, only better in that it is deeper and stronger. As it dries though I pick up a definate Beyond Paradise for men, not suprised since as ZeeK pointed out, Calice Becker was one of the noses behind BP. Not bad, though...more luxurious than BP, stronger more emphatic than Tom Ford for men.
