I have smelled both bodyspray and EdT of this; they are quite different and not surprisingly EdT is better. It is widely available here in Finland. 100ml bottle goes approx. for 12euros.


DT is a fresh spicy scent with gourmand qualities. It doesn’t resemble chocolate/coffee fragrances such as A*Men and Rochas Man, but more strawberrish scents like Hanae Mori for men and Paco Rabannes Black XS.

DT does have chocolate tone to it too for sure, but it isn’t that prominent at all. Quite feminine scent but sharp and slightly bitter spicy edge makes it very contemporarily masculine.

I don’t know the notes/ingredients of Dark Temptation (I think there hasn’t even been a release of any kind from the brand), but if I had to guess I would probably think of something like this:

Top: Bergamot, Fruity Accent, Spicy Notes
Heart: Lavender, Strawberry, Cedarwood, Fern
Base: Woods, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Chocolate



Dark temptation is not a high quality fragrance, but on the other hand, it doesn’t smell any cheaper than many of its more expensive companions. It is quite strong and long lasting with surprisingly large amount of nuances. I mean, I have smelled a niche stuff that is much more linear than this.

Nice low budget juice. Not for me, though.

I bought the body spray for two dollars and I must say it was worth every dollar. It will blast you with cold mist of chocolate and raisins. After five to ten minutes, the raisin smell is gone and what's left is a light chocolate that stays close to the skin. Chocolate smell will be gone after an hour or two. Use this with Axe Dark Temptation Deodorant and you'll smell chocolate the whole day.

On me, Axe Dark Temptation body spray smells almost exactly like A*Men (Angel Men) by Thierry Mugler. Unfortunately, I do not really care for A*Men... But if I did, I should use ADT/LDT deodorant as an inexpensive complement to A*Men.

As far as body sprays go Axe Dark Temptation isn't too bad. There is a chocolate note over what seems to be a chypre base. Has decent longevity for a body spray. No bad, not good but better than other comparable products.

I decided to try this new body spray from Axe and it is not bad. Not great, but not bad. Chocolate dominates it at first with a slight undertone of a woodsy musk, but as usual with these body sprays they get real chemicaly real fast, and the notes of the scent are muttled into a chemical mess within minutes. It may not be too bad to layer with A*Man or Rochas though. Just beware when you spray this stuff it is like a chocolate Lysol blast that surrounds you and the area you sprayed it in for a good while.

Also one other thing I want to point out is the price, these Axe body sprays used to be in the $3.00 dollar range but now they are up to $6.00 in the Pacific NW of the USA. That puts these body sprays into the "too expensive" category for me because I don't think what you receive is worth the cost.
