This falls into the why bother category for me. It smells good, but it is not provocative, not groundbreaking, not special, not anything. And then there's the calone. I guess it is good for those one frag dudes...they'll enjoy it, but they know no better.

DKNY Men dries down to a been there, done that mens cologne.

It's great. It's a hundred times better than the original DKNY Men which has grown up a lot into this new version. It's a very masculine fragrance with powdery spicy/woodsy notes and none of that chemical harshness from the original. One of my favourites. Love it!

A linear energetic open... some minutes to wait and you find an unique floral-dusty base mixed by a cold watery contrast.. at end you find a magnetic fragance: strongly soft, warm and intimate.

Calone bomb indeed! The pyramid given above is incomplete. It should read: “CALONE, Bergamot, CALONE, Mandarin, CALONE, Sage, CALONE…”

Why isn’t the calone listed? Maybe calone has become so commonplace that we are to assume every masculine fragrance contains at least a gallon of it. In any case, none of the other listed notes are detectable under the tidal wave of melony cucumber/aquatic calone until the drydown, which features a banal cedar-like woody amber. In the light of the recent re-release of Chaos and Fuel, DKNY Men is a pointless gesture. A waste of a perfectly good glass bottle.

Dissapointing ,synthetic calone bomb. Estee Lauder has such good examples in Tom Fords fragrances and DK Fuel for men, which they even re-released. So why bother to come up with this boring crap? One Acqua Di Gio is enough, and that one was even better. Thumbs down.

I absolutely surprised myself the other day and tested this at the insistence of my girlfriend. I don't normally do mainstream designer fragrances as I have become somewhat bored with them all smelling the same, What was the biggest surprise however was that this smelled very good. Very good indeed in fact. So much so that she was purring like there was no tomorrow and couldn't wait for us to get home. I'll leave that there out of a sense of decorum...

What does it smell like? Well, it's spicy and woody with a vaguely floral note, in fact many of the notes don't really stand out as such they all seem to blend in a way that seems to suggest that they smell better than the sum of their parts.

It's very male, with good projection, sillage and longevity. I have been ordered to buy a bottle. So I suppose I will have to now...

Women do seem to like this one, so, for all those who constantly ask "What fragrance gets you the most compliments?", add this to the list.

I still can't believe I've just written that.

This is a very unique smell, very modern. The sillage is great. There is not much to the dry down as far as differentiating between the notes. It's just a good green masculine smell. I bought this frag a couple of months ago and everytime I wear it I get many compliments. This is a frag that would be great for summer/fall. I have been told that it smells very business like, and I smelled like Gordon Gekko whenever I wore this. This frag would probably be best suited for the late twenties and up crowd.

The opening is similar to Gucci Pour Homme II, with the strong presence of bergamot and violet. Whereas Gucci is restrained, muted and well balanced, this has a slightly tart, hostile feel that prevents one embracing it wholeheartedly. I sense a great deal of the juniper, lavender and violet, but less of the more edgy ingredients that would have given this much more character and depth. There is minimal improvement throughout its lifespan, and the arrival of the warmer base notes provides little relief from the overall sense of harshness. This is not a complete disaster, but it fails on so many levels.

A fresh and spicy smelling scent. It seems like there is a note in it that reminds me of bulgari aqua, except I like it better than aqua. This is one of the most masculine colognes I've ever smelled. I love it.

My first review here :-)

I tried this a few weeks ago on paper an thought it smelt great with a lasting freshness.
Then I tried it on my skin and was startled by it's familiarity...it seemed very much like another perfume but I couldn't place which. Upon second skin trial I realised it reminds me of one of the Escentric Molecule perfumes (1 or 2). I think it must be the bergamot and orris.

On skin it loses it;s freshness quickly and turns to a powder smell which isn't really for me.
Shame the opening couldn's stick around longer.

Issey Miyake wannabe. That's all that came to mind when I smelled this one. Quite unoriginal.

The opening is familiar, with a large dose of the cucumber-like aromachemical, Calone, and what feels slightly citrus. Like when you get a waxed Lemon at the supermarket. But there are powdery Iris undertones, which makes the aquatic note smell really weird.
The heart reminds me of several fragrances. It’s plasticky, but not as much as Bvlgari pour Homme Soir. Not as aquatic or citrus as Acqua di Gio, nor as dry or powdery as Infusion d’Homme. And it’s aromatic, but not as much as L’eau Bleue d’Issey pour Homme, with it’s potent herbs of Provence note. It also reminds me of Ted Baker M. It reminds me of so many things, it’s as though many good ideas that work in different fragrances have been thrown together in one bottle, and put directly onto the shelves without checking that all the ideas work together.
The drydown is powdery, musky Cedar, before it finally turns into an indistinguishable sour, off pitch note that eventually fizzles out and leaves me completely underwhelmed.

As synthetic and brash as its predecessor (I guess that's what I should call the original DKNY Men?). THere is nothing "natural" smelling about this at all. A strong and powdery spicy/woody ambery base. At its heart I detect a rather pleasant iris note or similar floral accord. This is very, very mature smelling and is quite a change from the fresh and vibrant scents of Be Delicious and such. Not original or unique but it's a darned fine fragrance that's a little different.

I was not pleased when I smelled this. It reminded me of a couple of frags from the past, so there is no originality here.. also I am not pleased with the longevity of this.. 1 minute its there, & 3-4 hours later it vanishes. Mayb it will last longer on someone else but not for me. I would strongly suggest you try before you buy & check and see if the frag & longevity is right for you.

DKNY Men recently arrived at Macy's in NYC. I had a whiff of this fragrance today and truthfully, I really like it !! It is difficult to describe but has a very "clean" note to it. To me, it doesn't smell like anything else on the market today. What's nice is that it doesn't follow the fragrance trends of the present day. It smells very "New York" and in a category of its own. I am going to purchase this because it is a nice daytime fragrance.

The fragrance has a fresh wet green aquatic accord very much like Aqua di Geo which is off set by a spicy cardamom vetiver accord.

This is nothing mind blowing and I feel it really not going to be a big hit state side - I do feel flankers of this scent will most likely follow I could see a DKNY MEN Night version -
