This is a transparent floral that boasts citrus (I get that), peony (where?), rose (what?), osmanthus (I get that), patchouli (surely you are kidding!) and sandalwood (mmm maybe). So this is a kinda citrus osmanthus that drys down to...not much. And it is sweet, really sweet. In some ways, this reminds me of the spineless friend of Chaos by Donna Karan. It's not bad, really, but it's not that good, either. (I should disclose that I am not an osmanthus fan. And if you are, try Osmanthus Interdite by Parfums d'Empire. It does the same thing, only better.)

I just sniffed Gucci Flora in quick passing. Someone in a dept. store had sprayed it and I kept thinking, "what does that remind me of...?" It was CK Obsession (the original one) super-sweetened up for today's sugar lovers. The Britney market, as JGbeader says (well, I do actually have a Britney scent :o). It smells like a young girl took her mother's or grandmother's Obsession and layered a Britney scent over that. It's not horrible. It's just another boring scent.

Flora is an interesting name for the sour, sharp scent of sweaty armpit hovering over a sweet gourmandy/oriental base... There doesn't even seem to be any floral notes in the mix, though I suppose it's actually some floral notes creating that odd armpit effect. Now, I don't usually mind skanky or animalic fragrances, but old arm sweat is not the most pleasant of body odours.

Nice floral scent. I'm just missing that extra oomph to make it my HG.

A big disappointment. First, a blast of sparkling but sickly faux apricot, like one of those stodgy slice cakes with plastic-y fruit fillings and dubious, slightly rancid fat in the flour. Then, a boring floral accord with nothing to distinguish it from a hundred hundred thousand others. A triumph of mediocrity. They forgot to add a dry down which is perhaps why it's so short-lived. Wanting to capture the Britney market I suspect. Yawn.
