There are very few fragrances that I loathe more than the original, but Summer Edition does at least sprinkle some glitter onto the Eternity name. Its a rather cliched take on a summer fragrance, with its fresh lime and bergamot opening leading to a lightly warmed middle and base. Its longevity is predictably poor, and it has very little to say beyond the pleasant opening. 04 August 2009

Really beautiful lime/citrus with floral and a gin note. It is very refreshing and easy to wear in the hottest conditions and casual situations. A wonderful summer edition and I particularly like the lime. Very recommended. 31 July 2009

I meant to try this one out when I first saw it in stores a few months ago (before summer began), but I loved ck one summer 2009 so much I bought that one right away. When first sprayed, it is a bit leafy and fruity smelling= very good. It looses the leafiness quick but retains the fruity melon-y notes for a while. I would have bought this one today if I had not already bought a summer fragrance. If you think ck one summer 2009 is a bit too feminine, buy this-- they are in the same category. both are fruity and candy smelling without being sticky or overly sweet. I didnt wear this one long enough to pickup the peppery notes ThrowingShade describes, but I may have to take another look at it-- I have a good amount of citrus/fruity frags and have been looking more for a masculine scent for days when I do not shave. odysseusm places this fragrance well-- if you are looking for a citrus fruity fragrance, this one is pretty good. In the end, I would buy this fragrance If I came across it at a good price-- but as for now im set for "summer" fragrances. 31 July 2009

Probably the best 'Summer' edition of Mens' Eternity yet. Very citrus smelling when first sprayed, and after a bit it smells a little peppery and woodsy. Very nice. I love it. 29 June 2009

i like this alcohol note in opening. it's gin or rum. middle and base notes are very similar to 2008 version. anyway i have weakness for those eternity summer version even they are quite synthetic. good scent for summer evening. it's fresh and masculine all the time. 10 May 2009

I like this 2009 summer version better than any previous year. Like the others, it is hardly related to the original, however, this version is closer to the original. It still has a Polo Blue vibe to it, however less melon/rotten fruits accord and more greens, producing a very well grounded, maybe mature? summer fragrance. It projects well in the sunshine, and the drydown is quite close to the skin...something to share with your 'summer catch'. Worth the purchase in my book. 23 April 2009
