CK Free (2009)

I'm a little shocked by looking at the notes listed here. CK Free doesn't smell as unique as its composition.

I'm in agreeance with the other reviewers here, CK Free is very bland and boring. It's missing something that makes it stand out from the rest of the male scents on the market.

CK Free is not unpleasant, I find it very wearable, however it has a very citrusy and fresh edge that is starting to become a little overdone in the fragrance industry. I don't see citrus listed here in the notes, but I swear I can smell some bergamot and lemon with an almost aquatic type note.

The woods are not very prominent. In fact, the oak and cedar are so subtle that they could be easily dismissed. More in the way of the juniper berries, coffee and patchouli would have given this fragrance an interesting touch and would have made this fragrance far more complex than it is.

All in all, CK Free is a pleasant Summer scent that just hasn't managed to reach the mark with me.

Absolutely agree with the previous review by Shaheen. Only I dont want to believe that this is selling so well..

So synthetic, cheap and undistinguished..and most of all - just utterly unpleasant..

Among the worst fragrances I've ever tried.

What else can be said that hasn't already been said??

-- At least half of the notes listed in the note pyramid are NOWHERE to be found.
-- Smells CHEAP.
-- An utterly BORING fragrance.
-- A completely FORGETTABLE fragrance.
-- Another crappy, fresh, super-synthetic aquatic-style fragrance with no character or original appeal.

It's as if cK doesn't even try anymore when they develop new releases, but the fact of the matter is that this stuff probably sells like hotcakes in department stores...

I usually enjoy Ck fragrances, maligned as they are. I was actually looking forward to Free's release in the U.S. To say I was 'let down' when I tried it is like saying, "It's too bad things didn't work out for Romeo and Juliet." Every note in the teaser pyramid had me impatient to try it, like the thing was designed for me. Coffee? Can't live without it. Suede? Like you used in Obsession Night? Sign me up! Absinthe - I love it with a passion, but that's not a note. It's a lot of notes. You're not fooling anyone.
Their firm puts so much effort and ad revenue into convincing the consumer they won't bilk you of money again like 'last time.' That they have a monopoly on some new exotic ingredient that will change the face of their goods and shame the faces of others'. Despite this I usually defend their fragrances as decent creations. But this, this isn't even interesting enough to call it an abomination. It's a trite and utterly useless juniper calone with no lasting power, no character, and no legitimate reason to exist. Sad is the day when Euphoria can best another designer scent in a character contest. Calvin Klein, we have the same birthday. We have an unspoken association and a Scorpio closeness. Stop making me look bad. And stop pretending the people won't notice.

I do not smell fresh here, not even smell something nice, even generic ... The only thing I smell is always the same note, vulgar and synthetic.
This is not good guys, there are many choices of fresh scents, good longevity and some quality

I'm afraid it had too much longevity...even after repeated scrubbings with soap I could smell this for hours. The juniper overwhelmed everything else, and juniper smells terrible on me. That said, I smelled this on a friend's boyfriend and it smelled nice, a bit chemical-sweet for my taste, but nice, and the girlfriend was verrry happy with it.
