i've loved the original for years and decided to try the summer version. I fell in love with it. It's not too different from the original. This one has rounded edges. Not as sharp as the original. Very good on silage and longevity is not bad either. I will give longevity an A actually, considering it's a summer version of a summer frangrance. (yes i know it makes no sense but the original is supposed to be a summer fragrance which does better than most winter stuff out there)

I will use it sparingly since i know i might not find it anywhere once i'm done with my bottle!

I own both this and the original and I have to say that both are nice scents. This is certainly more subdued than the original Eau D'Issey. They both seem to be built around the same skeleton, except that this scent uses some fresher notes. You don't risk overpowering yourself with this scent like the original. I usually spray it more liberally, especially considering that this is something I love to wear in the heat. The scents are refreshing and last a decent while. I've probably used more of this cologne than any other one I wear. definitely good for a day scent. Not bad for other uses. I don't imagine it'd be everyone's favorite, but you can't go wrong with this one. It's certainly one of my favorites out of the smells I've tried.

Whats not to like? as YRK said, its generic, but so so nice...an explosion of lemony citrus dries down a more toned down and relaxed version of the original...a very good workhorse of a scent for summer...awesome!

This is a lightened version of the original. And by lightned I«m not claiming it is short lived or poorer sillage. It lasts for hours and leaves a tail. But It«s more easy to wear than the original one. The yuzu is present from the opening till it fades out. It«s refreshing, somehow smells like watermelon, but I haven«t found that note on the pyramid. Very nice, simple but compliment maker! It«s one of the few fragrances I own 2 bottles of 125ml. Do I need to say more?

I won't say that Eau d'Ete Summer Edition is better than the original, but it is a fresh & subdued version of the original L'Eau d'Issey pour Homme. It has been subdued in a way that's just right for my taste.

With this version, they are successful in subduing the very strong flowery notes of the original which after prolonged use feels too strong for me. That's my only regret with L'Eau d'Issey, which I hoped before that they'd do something about. Now here it is, it's just what I asked for.

I tested it earlier at the perfume store & the only thing that held me from buying it is that I had just purchased some fragrances for myself last christmas. But surely, I'll get it the next time around. Same as the original, though subdued in a way, it is a long lasting scent. It's reliable enough to last from morning 'til afternoon.
