Wanted (2009)

Oh no. Back to the 80's. And not in a good way. This smells oldfashioned as it is released.

I find a lot of similarities between Wanted and Midnight Poison, with the first being somewhat more feminine and fruitier and having a sweeter drydown. Shall have to pass.

I do lik this. I get a good blast of grepefruity (though no grapefruit I don't think) in the opening accompanied by sensuous florals (magnolia?). The midnotes hint at a promising dry down, ylang ylang certainly detectable but not overtly so, and it does not fail to deliver. It is like being with a beautiful, sexy, confident woman. And she is smart too. I don't think this is distinct enough in the sea of floral femme frags, but there is something about it that makes you want to keep sniffing. Thumbs up, recommended, but not highly.

Wait for 20min and Wanted dries down as Estee Lauders Sensuous without the spice, and Sensuous as a floral is still very nice, if a bit boring.
Very appealing bottle and packaging too.
