This is a good unassuming everyday scent. It is linear, boring and what you spray is what you'll get- for the next two hours tops. It does not evolve too much, the verbena and basil are there and are what keep me coming back. The peony and jasmine florals are very muted and have an almost aquatic quality, as if they were soaked in the crashing surf and brought back to life by the sparkling verbena that remains for the duration of your journey. If you're lucky enough to detect a base the sea moss makes an appearance every once in a while, cooling and dampening the bright opening just enough. If you're looking for something extremely nonchalant, maybe you work in an environment where perfume is discouraged, this will brighten up your presence without anyone consciously noticing. I love it, but it only lasts about two hours on my skin before it's gone without a trace. PureDKNY Verbena is not life-changing or attention-grabbing, but as for many everyday staples, I'd argue that it shouldn't be.
