Sensual, powdery, never overwhelming, and yet pleasantly unique. Tom Ford cannot do mainstream very easy, and, in fact, the pure combination of lovely ingredients, even though the name suggests a more approachable version of the Black Orchid, manage to still make out of this almost 1940's - alike scent, a true little masterpiece of its own, complex, sexy, and sparkling all at the same time, without flaws.

A slightly powdery (iris) and violet that smell quite nice. More of a feminine fragrance IMO. On a cooler day, I wouldn't mind wearing this. I think this would be too cloying in warmer weather. 7/10

A great disappointed but for everyone who wants a ordinary and popular scent,a shy character who she afraid of passionate sexiness and creates a memorable impression as TOM FORD perfumes truly special and makes a woman feel sexy and confident whenever she wears and VIOLET BLONDE is not exempt.It represents the essence of femininity. Intimately Sensual, profoundly Feminine and intoxicatingly rich.

A highly powdery scent as violet leaf and pink pepper mingle in a melange of sexy and feminine floral heart of iris and jasmine and a warm undercurrent of musk, suede and benzoin to render an amulet of univocal femininity.this fragrance strikes an amazing balance between femininity and seductiveness without being overpowering.

VIOLET BLONDE is sensual and intriguing,yet remains rich and soft like the caress of cashmere.i recommend it for a modern, sophiticated and self-confidence lady.perfect for anytime of year especially Autumn and Winter weather.if you are looking for a nice powdery scent wear this EDP to be noticed and remembered. totally it is not as great as BLACK ORCHID but simply lovely.

Longevity?Good on my skin.

Reading the notes, I would not have purchased this, as any scent that mentions pink pepper isn't of interest to me. However, I received it as a gift from someone who knows that I love collecting perfumes. While I'm not a big fan of Tom Ford's scents, as I think part of his ouevre is way overrated and overpriced and ALL of the ones that that I've smelled come off a little too obviously synthetic, I have to say that I do like some things about Violet Blond. It's sweet, but not cloyingly sweet and the violet notes are just enough so as not to turn me off. It's not great or terribly innovative, but it holds my interest enough that I do reach for it from time to time and I'm usually glad I did. For me it evokes the idea of donning a brand new pair of buttery soft, purple suede pumps with a pair of my favorite jeans and that fantasy is good enough for me.

PS...at one phase VB hints at Guerlain's Apres l'Ondee.
