Reviews of Alien: Le Gut du Parfum

I had similar experiences while testing the Taste of Fragrance Angel and Alien. When Alien hits the skin, I get a whiff of caramel. However, when I sniff my wrist, caramel has already disappeared and what left is the original Alien base. So that's it? That's all?

I was wrong once again.

That said, it's still very difficult to pick up a distinctive caramel note. However, leave it develop, I can definitely smell something salty and sweet envelopping the still recognizable Alien base. I totally agree that caramel here improves the texture more than just being another note added. I feel that in the original version, each note is distinctive, while in ToF, thanks to the caramel, they become mellow and more inviting.

If I'm to compare the original Alien, ToF and Essence Absolue, I'd say ToF is like seeing Alien through a caramel sheer. It's the same structure, but with different colour. EA to my nose, is the sweetest among the three and there's a change in the structure.

If you're drawn towards ToF thinking of Alien + a distinctive caramel note, I'm afraid this won't be the case, though after 10 hours the caramel seems to be more prominent compared to jasmin and amber. However, if you're looking for a less fierce Alien, it might live up to your expectation. The sillage is good and the longevity is more than 12h. Quality wise nothing bad to report.

Salutation.

Sexy,sensual,captivating...just a few words that come to mind upon first sniff.this is a great scent.you won't be disappointed, this is a GREAT scent.a seriously seductive scent that is less floral and more sweet than the originl ALIEN.it is warmer and yummier. definitely a head turner.Perfect for a polished cosmopolitan or a sexy bohemian as it suites both.the sweet, cremy notes makes it lovely and cute fo those can not tolerate heavy smell of the original.perhaps the sweetness of this makes a faint hearted youngster sick but it is absolutely normal in this ctegory for me. Oriental,Irresistible,Evoctive, Attractive,Warm, Impressive and Emotively Addictive.

Yummy and delicious notes of cramel leaves blend with a subtle touch of jasmine.cashmere wood blends with amber for a sheer sensuality in the dry down. everything works seamlessly together to create an olfactory passion.all the tones pulsating oozes a woman of distinction,a woman who knows exactly what she wants and won't accept anything else.this scent has a great hint of class, oomph and sexiness. It is perfect for cold winter evening with a hot mood or just whenever you dream of a winter evening. THIRERRY MUGLER fragrances is alwys the best for ladies that like the best. ladies this fragrance will keep the men coming!

Sillage?Ok.

Longevity?Great on my skin.

This version is my number one among all the Aliens. Though there is a lot to be said for the original - for all its blatant nature, it is essentially a simple clinical if unusual scent. I wasn't ready to enjoy it. After receiving a sample of the Taste variant, I was hooked. The caramel gives it a rich sweet velvety quality while remaining a concept rather than an "edible" aroma. Like the original EDP, this doesn't "feel floral" despite the strength of the jasmine note. And also like the original, Taste finishes of with a dry-ish wood/amber base. In fact, it took this version for me to fully appreciate the original Alien.

By comparison I rate this more highly than the 2009 Liqueur edition. Whatever was added to that one only makes it sweeter, rounder, softer. The overall effect is more floral, a more typical female scent. For all its beauty it doesn't quite achieve what I'm after.
Taste manages to retain the stark weirdness of the original and be rich and cosy at the same time. A true masterpiece.

A have a sample of this fragrance and put it on my skin last night just for fun.
The opening of this fragrance is strong and so sweet caramel note. it's warm and sweet and really in your face!
So please easy with the sprayer and try to avoid the neck area as much as you can!
It's so sweet but yummy!
In the dry down the caramel note settle down, then amber kick in and give this fragrance a very sensual aroma.
The floral note exist but it's really muted in the background, so If you're a man and you got a sweet tooth, go for it. it's not a feminine floral fragrance and you can rock this too!!! :d
Projection is monster and longevity in very good.
Definitely for winter and cold fall nights.

Does exactly what it says on the tin; it's Alien with a sweet, salty, boozy aspect, like caramelised pecans with a dash of amaretto, yum! The amber base is sweeter & much more prominent than in the original, & the jasmine less obvious. lt mellows to a skin scent after six hours, but is still traceable after twelve. A delicious gourmand, although l think it may prove a little too sweet for me over time.

Wonderful fragrance. Really great.
The Taste Of Fragrance line was made by making the original perfumes in one vat, and the taste enhancer in another. The two were added together only after they had the time to evolve on their own. That way, you can smell all the thing that are so great about the originals, but with a big extra.

I can only compare this fragrance to a journey. Salted Butter Caramel makes a journey through the fragrance, teaming up with the three main notes of Alien and showing a different aspect of each.
First, he encounters Jasmine and gives it a slightly boozy aspect. Intoxicating, but more toned down, more tempered than in the original. Caramel lingers awhile with Jasmine, but decides that she isn't the one he's looking for and continues his search.
Next, he meets Cashmeran. Sharp, dusty and comforting. He puts a thick layer of caramel over her to subdue her sharp dustyness. But then he realises, despite the interesting combo they make, they are just too unalike and he continues his search.
At last, Caramel sees Amber, and he realises she is the one. They make eachother bloom.
The salt enhances the sweetness of the caramel and the vanilla-aroma of the amber. A sweet, but not cloyingly sweet, delicious, gourmand blend that lasts and lasts and lasts.
In the original the amber stage is more of a skin scent, but mixed with the caramel it's far stronger. So delicious, but also beautiful at the same time.
Big love
