Ô d'Azur (2010)

Got this because Burberry London Special Edition was finally out of stock everywhere. For those who don't know, around 2009 Burberry released a special edition of their London scent, with some alterations to the original. It was dark, aromatic, woody and musky with a floral set of overtones that faded over time. When I got home and tried these two side by side--the last of my treasured Burberry London Special Edition and the D'Azur (smelling coffee in between to clear my palate)--I was stoked to realize that I was right on the mark in the store: they are nearly identical. D'Azur is a little more floral, but that fades over time to a spicy, woody, aromatic smell. I like my signature to be strong, spicy and musky because I work in an office and I like to smell "in charge" (read into this: "don't f*** with me"). This works well. The person above obviously didn't give it time to settle.

Pros: Nice price, smells like one of my favorite discontinued perfumes.
Cons: First notes are deceiving with a heavy, pungent floral scent. Once it settles, much more woody and musky--very mellow and powerful smelling."
