Based on a sample, I made a FBP from Luckyscent but the moment the wife smelled it, she declared it's hers. She said it's too sweet for me to wear. I did get to wear it to the office once. Did not garner any comments.

If you don't like balsamic amber and sweetness don't read this review!amber is clearly all about oriental opulent with smokey vanilla, oilbanum and elemi combination that exudes quality rather dreamy fragrance but not enough to dirty the perfume.not for everybody but everyone can appreciate its uniqueness. Rich,Warm,Captivating,Deep,Complex,Sophisticated, Spicy,Smoky,Charming and Powerful.

It opens smoky masculine and alcoholic, harsh and noticeable mixed with dominant elemi and oilbanum in the heart notes and an intensely amber that has a vanillic almost edible feminine dry down that create a aroma on a romantic evening in boudoir with a sensuous woman who needs you kiss her cheek&neck.the dry down is the best here.a perfect intense oriental spicy fragrance for a self confident mam/woman.

Sillage?Moderate to Heavy.

Longevity?Great on my skin.

A gently spiced amber complete with ancient Mesopotamian name – how exotic. Well, actually not, as this is the kind of thing – though done well enough in this instance – that is instantly familiar. Some gesture towards novelty would have helped greatly.
After a rapid transition from the hespiridic top through a cardamom modulated incense we arrive at the dry amber base – not too sweet, not too loud, a bit powdery and antique. There is something reminiscent of nutmeg which reminds me of the contemporaneous Casbah (Piguet). Easy wearing but it does little to quicken my pulse.

This is a radiant oriental based on the contrast of a churchy frankincense accord with a powdery vanillic amber. Its structure reminds me of Jean Patou Sublime, although it doesn't have the floral complexity of Sublime it has excellent quality materials.

Akkad starts off with a citrus/orange and cardamom spice 'winter holiday' opening that seamlessly segues into frankincense. As the citrus notes drop off, it leaves the cardamom/ frankincense floating over a sophisticated powdery but dry vanillic amber. Then it's frankincense and finally at the end is the wonderful amber, very powdery and not too sweet to my nose. The vanilla is a dark vanilla bean, slightly dirty. Akkad smells great and it smells expensive all the way through. It has the sillage of a grand french perfume as many Lubin releases do.

While not utterly original, it's so good and so wearable. It's a fragrance that makes people lean in closer when they get near you. It's a clever and festive take on incense, a wonderful feminine in my opinion. In the playing field of the Armani ambers, Alahine, Mitzah (comparable fragrances IMHO) it's crisp, elegant, sexy, and uplifiting. It consistently delivers.
