Top Notes: Lemongrass essence, Lime essence, Incense essence, Rose Petals accord
Middle Notes: Saffron, Rose Absolute, Geranium essence, Cistus essence
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Patchouli essence, Gurjum Balsam essence, Musk, Vanilla, Oud wood
Initial spray: Starts very strong. I'ts actually one of the strongest openings i have yet to encounter in a scent and it lasts for a good 30 minutes ! I get a lot of lemongrass and lime with mellow dry incense (not sweet) sitting in middle . The oud joins in late in the opening then quickly settles in as the backbone of the scent. The oud here is dry (as opposed to sweetened) and it's high quality .
Heart: After a good 30 minutes, the heart of this scent starts to emerge and it's actually my favorite part: A beautiful bouquet of majestic roses, saffron and Geranium. You will smell all of them and the blend is masterfully done. I must say this is one of the best blends i have smelled based on the rose note . Beautiful and intoxicating.
Drydown: After a good 4 hours of flowers heaven, the patchouli and musk kick in and complete the cycle of this very "complex" scent. I don't smell vanilla at all. The drydown is very woody . Nothing sweet here. Even the musk and patchouli are both dry and balanced.
Projection : Moderate and never in your face. If you're looking for a Montale type of projection , don't expect it here.
Longevity : Will easily stay until the next day on your skin if you don't shower. Very long lasting .
Like i said, this is a very complex scent that has so many notes and i'm still discovering more in it in every wearing. Hope this review helps shed some light on this hidden gem.
