Reviews of Embers

I just figured it out....Embers smells a lo like TF Sahara Noir, just not quite as strong! This could be a good thing, as the opening of SN is sometimes overbearing for me.

A very nice incense. Took me straight back to church. I know that sounds like a cliché but so many incense fragrances have other notes that overpower or take the accord in other fantastic directions.

This IS Sunday mass, but unlike Sunday mass, it’ not the least bit boring.

Definitely worthy of attention if you’re an incense lover.

This stuff is flat out amazing! My first Rouge Bunny Rouge, and if this is representative of quality and impact, I will seek out others! Goes on bright smokey, like some kind of hot, very dry day in the pines. A punchy opening of an almost holiday spice? A whiff of a floral, a very green floral introduces an ambery quality, and after some time entertaining, it settles into what reminded me of CdG Sugi. This is a well executed, well balance and interesting scent. Two thumbs way way up!

Pepper and incense upfront - in an intoxicatingly mix, which does not evolve as much into the dry down save that the pepper calms down a bit! Well blended with moderate sillage and decently long longevity. It is an utter delight!

It is in the ballpark of Encens Satin by Armani Prive as well as retaining references to other incense (olibanum) focused scents like Armani's Sahara Noir, and being more distant from liturgical incenses like CdG's Avignon, Heeley's Cardinal and Jovoy's La Liturgie des Heures.

ive only got a sample of this, so its based on a very small amount.

Name sounds a bit strange, and probably slightly femme, but the scent itself certainly isnt, it would take a strong lady to pull this one off.

straight away from the moment you spritz, the incense smoky twist is noticeable, quite strong which may put some people off, but bear with it!

after ten or so minutes, it starts to level out, the strong bonfire incense flavour mutes down, and becomes nutty, still smoky, but not the sickly throat burning smoky you get with some. its also not the Tobacco smoke style, which sometimes can be ashtray like.

i find it just very slightly boozy, with a rum/whiskey type accord peeking out now and then, which is nice and subtle.

overall, its got a good head, hangs around for a relatively good time, but isnt a projection monster, which i think would kill it. its a fragrance you can wear out at night, and folk would need to be in your vicinity to smell it, and would probably find it intriguing, mysterious.
