Pomélo Paradis (2015)

This is GREAT for summer. It is (imo) so much better than Orange Sanguine--not nearly as sweet, but still managing to capture the feeling of a real grapefruit (in the way that O.S. is going for the feeling of a real orange.) The opening is sharp and beautiful. It fades to nothing on me quite quickly, which is why it only gets a 4 star overall. But I really like this one! I drained my 7.5 mL sample in about 2 months. I might have to get a 30mL for next summer.

It's a sweet citrus, but more of a flavour than a fragrance. With a somewhat artificial quality, as Abbiss notes. Recalls Kia-Ora orange, fairground drinks, and iced lollipops.

The opening is very sweet, juicy and sharp citrus, almost like a lemonhead candy in grapefruit juice. The drydown becomes more soft and floral but you can still smell the grapefruit.

Good projection in the opening and then it loses most of that bright opening in the first 2 hours. Longevity after that is good.

Sampled from the AC sample pack. Expectations were quite high as I often see this one recommended. Overall a fantastically realised pomello / pink grapefruit scent. It smells just like the fresh pink grapefruit juice left at the bottom of the bowl after cutting into and eating a half pink grapefruit with just a light sprinkling of sugar. The problem being the poor performance. Could not smell this after my short journey to work. Beautiful whilst it lasts but too short lived. The price point would make extreme over-application problematic. It is very natural smelling / photo-realisitic at the cost of performance

I will stick to Hermes Concentree pamplemousse Rose which is an equally beautiful grapefruit scent but somehow has a thicker texture with more staying power and comes accross as a fragrance rather than just a realistic interpretation of the pomello juice. Or for even more staying power something like TDH ETF or Cartier Declaration L'eau which have worked grapefruit in among other accords as PART of a fragrance - and not the whole story. Those who are particularly looking for Pomello per se and draw a distinction between pomello and grapefruit may wish to stick with the Atelier. Overall 60/100

I found it very sweet, with a fake candy smell, almost cloying, in the opening. It stays like this for a very long time before you can detect notes like rose and mint. I'm not sure I smelled the drydown notes before it disappeared. Projection is good, but longevity is average. You get a lot of fruit, not much of a constructed fragrance.
