Adam Levine launches celebrity fragrance duo
Adam Levine, singer of Maroon 5 and mentor on 'The Voice', has launched a fragrance duo just two years after stating on his Twitter account that he would like to "to put an official ban on celebrity fragrances." and that it should be "Punishable by death from this point forward.". He later backtracked by telling People "It could be really cool if done properly".
Levine told WWD "I wanted to do something understated and elegant something that people I revere in that world, like Tom Ford, would do, and something Id be attracted to. I like basic fragrances. I didnt want to smell like a department store. And theres an intimacy level that you have to think about. You dont really want someone to smell you unless theyre really close to you."
March 5, 2011I also would like to put an official ban on celebrity fragrances. Punishable by death from this point forward.

Both the male and female fragrances were created by perfumers at Givaudan. The men's fragrance features mandarin, grapefruit, lemongrass, amber, sandalwood and cedarwood. The Women's fragrance has notes of spice, jasmine, sandalwood, rose and vanilla.
The fragrances will be available from Macy's in March.
