Arabian Oud sweep Third FiFi Arabia Awards : winners announced
On the 12th November the 3rd annual FiFi Arabia fragrance awards were held at the Armani Hotel in Dubai. Arabian Oud picked up five of the 14 awards.
The 'Fragrance of the Year' winners were decided by a chosen panel of experts; the 'My Favourite Perfume of the Year' and 'Retailer of the Year' categories were judged by consumers.
The winners are as follows:

- Arabian Popular Appeal Male - Shahrayar - Arabian Oud
- Arabian Prestige Female - Hayati by Arabian Oud

- International Popular Appeal Female - Lancôme, Tresor Midnight Rose
- International Popular Appeal Male - Eau de Lacoste L. 12. 12 Rouge

I am just curious. Do the Fifi awards really mean anything?
other than by minimizing competition, not really.
Awards ceremony have always been about control over the industry. The big players in the industry tend to make sure their own "family", Like the oscars.
