Christopher Sheldrake and Scents of Time create Titanic inspired fragrance of the future
By: Sandra Rose
David Pybus, the man behind Scents of Time specialises in recreating fragrances from ancient civilizations. After reading a newspaper article in 2001 that reported a leather bag containing over sixty phials of assorted perfumes had been found among the debris of RMS Titanic, his team set about reconstructing the fragrances found.
With the help of Christopher Sheldrake who has worked with Serge Lutens, and currently Chanel, Scents of Time have taken inspiration from the fragrances found on the Titanic to create a perfume for the future. Night Star, a fragrance for women includes top notes of bergamot and lavender, a heart of rose, violet, heliotrope, orris, and lily of the valley. The base is a blend of sandalwood, vanilla, and hawthorn blossom.Basenotes › Fragrances News › Christopher Sheldrake and Scents of Time create Titanic inspired fragrance of the future - Ruth Mastenbroek talks about her first Eau de Parfum
