Coty Prestige have announced a new addition to their Davidoff franchise; Davidoff Adventure Eau Fraîche will be released in February.

The new fragrance is said to be a fresh green juice that will be packaged in a flacon reminiscent of an adventurers hip-flask. Opening with top notes of green mandarin, bergamot and neroli, the fragrance has a heart of ginger and basil leading to a base of vetiver, cedar wood and musk.

Actor Ewan McGregor has been signed as the face of the fragrance, the advertising campaign draws on McGregors experiences filming Long Way Round his journey around the world on his motorcycle in 2004, and his most recent adventure Long Way Down in 2007.

Davidoff Adventure Eau Fraîche will be available as a 50ml and 100ml Eau de Toilette and will cost approximately 50 and 65 respectively. Also available will be a 150ml shower gel, 19 and a 75g deodorant stick 21

Based on what, how well the last little adventure went?

ok, actually I quite like that stuff but the terrible reviews made me avoid it. I secretly still want a bottle though

Adventure has not been a big "hit" since its inception a few years ago. Why are they bothering to launch an eau fraiche version of a not so great scent? Adventure can be purchased at Marshall's and TJ Maxx for a fraction of the price. When you find fragrances in these stores you know they no longer "make it" on the department store shelves.
Based on several top 10 lists in Europe, I reckon Adventure has been a big hit for Davidoff.

Interesting. It was on store shelves here in the states for only maybe 2 or 3 months. I actually really love the original Adventure and quite enjoy Amazonia, too. I can't wait to try the Eau Fraiche. I'd love it if it was a fresh and green scent with a bit of earthiness.I think the original and Amazonia did that - introducing some earthiness within the confines of a mainstream scent - rather well. I actually get a rather earthy/dirty base in the original, with quite a bit of cedar and then a nice dose of vetiver, too.

Based on the notes list, the base may be similar to the original (or more likely, Amazonia), while the top and heart sound more like Mugler Cologne. If that were true, that'd be a wonderful match.
Conversely, I don't think I've ever seen Sean John's I am King here in Europe, and Unforgivable hasn't been very popular here either.

O/T, but the Ewan McGregor/Charlie Boorman documentary "Long Way Round" is really great.
