Versace are to launch Eros, their first men's fragrance in a number of years, at the Cannes Tax Free World Exhibition later this month. The fragrance is expected to hit shelves in Italy in November before being rolled out to the rest of the world in the start of next year.


Eros, named after the son of Aphrodite and Greek god of love, was created by Givaudan's Aurelien Guichard and contains notes of mint oil, lemon, apple, tonka, ambroxan and geranium.

The fragrance will be available as 50ml and 100ml Eau de Toilette; as well as matching after shave balm, shower gel and deodorant stick.

The notes seem to point to a more 'current' persuasion -- minty fruity sweet, though the geranium adds a rather dark touch. Highly doubt this will appeal to BN sensibilities (as do all new designer releases)
