La Nuit de L'Homme's new face is Garrett Hedlund

Yves Saint Laurent have announced that Garrett Hedlund will be the new face of its 2009 fragrance, La Nuit de L'Homme. US actor, Hedlund has starred in films such as Tron Legacy, Troy and Country Strong.

"Yves Saint Laurent expresses a unique style between elegance and freedom, sophistication and daring. The brand embodies the spirit of a very strong and virile man, who also assumes his great sensitivity. Garrett Hedlund expresses this duality to perfection. He has also taken on some real cinematic challenges which show a man with a strong personality fully assuming his choices and convictions" says Stephan Bezy, International General Manager of YSL Beauté.

La Nuit de L'Homme was launched in 2009, and was created by perfumers Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion and Pierre Wargnye. Notes include Cardamom, Bergamot, Coumarin and Vetiver.

Heard of him, but couldn't pick him out of a crowd - not even after seeing the photo above.

Change the Hollywood du jour "face" - just don't change or touch the juice, please L'Oreal. We will know...and we will not be happy.

After what you have to the late Yves Saint Laurent's other beautiful creations...is a travesty. A shame.
