Lancôme Sees The Stealth Return of Classics From La Collection - Mille et Un Roses And Others

While some fragrance lovers have been busy paying high prices on eBay for such Lancôme La Collection classics as Mille et Un Roses, Peut-Être and Balafre, the company reissued the perfumes quietly in London last November, exclusively at Harrods. Also to be found on the shelves again, by stealth, Climat EDT (the EDP is only available in France). The La Collection series was itself a reissue of Lancôme perfumes that had originally launched in the 1930s and 1970s.

Attachment 16000The company has not said whether it plans to re-issue what some consider the jewel in the crown of La Collection - Cuir, though this highly regarded perfume remains widely available through discounters.

The reissued perfumes have now been made available in Dubai and went into Selfridges in June.

At Christmas time the company is planning to bring out fragrance pendants in this line. Those accustomed to the La Collection line, whose bottles sometimes had ill fitting caps, may be intrested to know that the bottle has changed and now holds 75ml rather than 50ml.
