According to various reports, Procter & Gamble are looking to end the agreement to create Valentino fragrances after disappointing sales. Spain's Puig; who are also behind the brands Paco Rabanne, Nina Ricci and Carolina Herrera; is set to take over from February 2011.

Procter & Gamble picked up the Valentino license from Unilever in 2003, when Unilever was looking to exit the fine fragrance business.

It seems that Procter & Gamble does a really good job of dragging fragrance lines down and then ditching them.
Valentino hasn't had much luck with his fragrances, they all seem to fall into obscurity.
hmm i owned very valentino and it was always a pleansant perfume, and rock n rose couture is IMO even a better one! they just needed to lower their prices

This is pretty big news! I liked some of the older Valentino scents like the original eponymous scent and Vendetta, but they seem to have lost their way in recent years.
