Parfums M. A unique partnership between British fragrance house Penhaligon’s and the English National Ballet has produced a new fragrance, Iris Prima.     Perfumer Alberto Morillas (described by Penhaligon’s Sarah Rotheram as ‘warm and engaging’ and ‘an absolute pleasure’ to work with) was granted exclusive access to rehearsals and to dancers Nathan Young and Lauretta Summerscales, in order to create a fragrance which Penhaligon’s describe as ‘a work of olfactory choreography’. Chris Bartlett of the Shropshire perfume house, Pell Wall, will be following up his 2012 limited edition 1953 Parfum with two new fragrances, to be released on 2nd June - 1953 Eau de Toilette and 1953 Pour Homme.   Released to coincide with the anniversary of the Queen’s coronation, the fragrances are inspired by the specially made coronation oil used in the ceremony.   New York's Aedes de Venustas is following up last years Eau de Parfum with new fragrance, Iris Nazarena. The fragrance is named after the rare Iris Bismarckiana, which is also known as Iris Nazarena because it grows mainly in the mountains east of Nazareth.   The fragrance, which is available from early June, contains notes of Iris, ambrette, juniper berry, star anise; heart notes of leather, oud, clove and rose de mai; and a base of insence, woods, musk and vetiver.   The perfumer of the fragrance is Ralf Schwieger. On 4th May the long-awaited Guerlain ‘Les Parisiens’ collection arrived in Britain, with an exclusive launch at Harrods. Until now, the men's collection was only available from Maison Guerlain, at 68 Champs-Élysées in Paris. Now repackaged in elegant, monolithic bottles, the collection comprises five Guerlain favourites, originally created by Jean-Paul Guerlain: Derby, Chamade Pour Homme, L' Âme d'un Héros, Arsène Lupin (aka Dandy) and Arsène Lupin Voyou.
