Basenotes events

The count-down has begun!  We are now 3 weeks and 6 days away from the Official Basenotes Lunch, which is taking place between 10.30am and 5.45pm on friday 28th August 2009.  Our day will be jam-packed with fragrant discoveries and scented conversation amongst a group of 30 like-minded enthusiasts.  Our journey will take us across some of the brightest olfactory jewels that the capital has to offer.

We will gain a fascinating insight into the world of our very own Pia Long, trainee perfumer with Lush.  Catch up on Pia's progress in her Study Notes column for more info.  Pia will be hosting us at Be Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful before joining us on the rest of our expedition.  We will also trot across some of the capital's glorious cobblestones to Penhaligon's where we will be getting a sneak preview of the company's October Launch, Amarathine.  Perfumer Shelagh Foyle of Floris will be giving us an insight into the historic brand at their Jermyn Street store and we will meander through Mayfair for some free time to enjoy this area, so richly populated with fascinating fragrance opportunities.  Other destinations throughout our day include the niche fragrance haven that is Les Senteurs and... well, can't give it all away!  Suffice to say we have a very full day planned and will be only pausing to enjoy a glass of champagne with our scrummy afternoon tea in a Mayfair hotel. 

Attendees will receive a souvenir pack containing a Basenotes London Shopping Guide, printed materials about all of the companies who will be hosting us and a copy of Basenotes International Fragrance Quarterly.  We will be enjoying lots of goodies and sampling along the way, settling down to an afternoon tea with complimentary champagne to restore our energy before completing the journey by approximately 5.45pm.
