  1. The Notes

    Today we will talk about Notes. Like a symphony, a fragrance is a combination of many notes.
    Top notes are the first initial odor you smell when you spray on a fragrance. These are generally very short lived notes, that disappear or lessen within the first several minutes to an hour. Often Basil, Bergamot, Eucalyptus, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lemongrass, Orange, Peppermint, or Pine, they have a quick evaporation rate, and don't last.

    Ah! You frivolous flirtatious organ of mine. Tut tut! As i mentioned yesterday, Annick Goutal Heure Exquise parfum huiles precious, claimed my attention away from the Guerlain Apres Londee that I bid on, and won.

  3. Making sense of scents

    Welcome to my new Blog. I will try to post regularly on topics of interest.

    Today we are talking about Longevity. One of the biggest complaints I hear is "I like the smell, but this doesn't last!" Longevity is being able to sniff a fragrance hours later. This is contingent on several factors.

    Is it EdT, EdC, EdP? The concentration of oils makes a fragrance last longer.

    Are you sure it isn't lasting, or maybe your nose is "used ...

  4. It's been a while.....

    Since i rambled. So here i am, rambling. I have been very busy, but unfortunately not finding much in the way of vintage recently. There's no flea markets, estate sales or suchlike up here. So no finds of note. But last night, i could have kicked myself, hard.

    Husband and I had been looking, without much success, for a bottle of Apres Londee and not even vintage, just a modern bottle, it seems difficult to find. There were however, 2 full bottles on Ebay, so i asked the other half, ...

  5. Everyday scents for newbie

    hi there im new to fragrances. need some honest advice/recommendation for a mens fragrance for a . i have 5 ideas in mind, and best recommendation. or any other reasonably priced fragrance recommendation.
