A blog by the creator of Basenotes featuring site news, behind the scenes info, and various other gubbins...

  1. Basenotes has a little sister, all covered in make-up

Back in 2005, we had an idea to do a version of Basenotes for makeup. Due to very young children and one of us having to go to a real job, we didn't have time to do it then and it got left by the wayside. Some people enjoyed the model we used to promote it though!

    Here is some more information:

  5. ...and now i've problems with apostrophes in reviews

Having fixed my last problem, it appears that the solution to that is turning some apostrophes in reviews to a question mark.

Ok, lets try and fix this then.....

Looks like its a problem from when people paste from word, which gives a different apostrophe which has an encoding different to what a website expects.

Can't see an immediate fix yet. sorry
