I am not fundamentally against sweet, mass-marketed fragrances. I am a huge fan of Sugar Lychee by Fresh, and though I'm not sure I would ever want to wear it, I am delighted by the crimson raspberry Jello scent of Escada's Cherry In The Air. That said, I still think that if you're gonna do a synthetic gourmand-floral fragrance, you should be mindful

Perfect Vanilla opens with a strong amber-saturated vanilla, a powerful orange/yellow flower scented from orange sherbet, and a centrally heated, confined interior space with the faintest, almost undetectable trace of lemon disinfectant (buried under the dense vanilla cloud and sherbet layers).
This vanilla is warm and complex, but it is not subtle. It doesnt scream in the way designer vanilla frosting candy

Moss Gown is unquestionably "of the Earth." The ingredients are extremely high quality, and the fragrance is so transportive, that I think it should only be used in sacred ceremonies, which is not to say that it's not wearable. It is definitely accessible and delightful to wear.

This is what I thought L'Artisan's Havana Vanille would smell like. This is a smoother, more harmonious, cohesive, and pricier version of the same concept. Like Havana Vanille, it too, does not smell like the most natural vanilla, though Un Bois Vanille is warmer and silkier, with the supporting notes lending the slightest amount of depth and complexity in a very complimentary way. That said, Un Bois Vanille still reminds me of a woman with a fresh blow out and highlights, wearing a Tiffany's charm
